I pretty much struggled fitting in and getting mayor. I got a lot of hate when I asked for donations on trade because of my really laggy computer where even Optifine couldn't even fix.

 

I struggled with making money from auctions, so I just redstone mined for days and worked on a wheat a pumpkin farm for mega cash. Well, mega cash for a builder.

 

We (zoo, zard, and spenca,) all lived in a house by an old town portal, so we had the problem of getting griefed every now and then.... We got soooo pissed... lol

 

I struggled getting Resident on the first map, when I joined... The price kept going up, and I was more into the community and exploring the tiny map and the creations. :/

 

Trusting people. :p lived in the middle of the ocean all alone hiding from all players. I thought for sure I was going to get griefed and what not, so I hid. Luckly the first town I moved into was really nice and convinced me that people on this server wern't jerks like on others.

How to make a cactus farm that didn't destroy the cacti.

 

When I joined ECC I had many struggles with getting started, I was a very gullible person in general when I joined and I had a good friend tell me he would sell me a plot in a town, turns out the town wasn't protected and I had a huge sugar cane farm that was also unprotected and a pumpkin/melon farm. I could never figure out hot to make an efficient farm and only had a few hundred dollars so I didn't have enough to buy a plot in town, I got griefed and decided to move to Las Vegas. I started to work for people chopping their pumpkins or placing stone for their house, but again I got ripped off by many people. I was at the point to were I wanted to quit but stuck to the game and played until I had enough to buy resident I was happy and after a little more work I quickly made my way to Mayor where I have never gotten to buy President.

My worst part was when I got back on the server after not being on for 2 months what was left of my house was in a protected town. Luckily I could still use my chests so I took like a hour to move all my stuff.

Finding out how to talk. I assumed the admin ignored me for no reason because when I talked I was in local and it kept saying "No one hears you".

 

The whole "How to make money" issue and understanding the plugins.

 

My problem at first was that I had no real way of making money. I killed spiders for xp one of the least efficient spawners ever. I also didn't understand how to sell to other players...

 

I struggled to avoid getting griefed.I've been griefed once and almost got griefed another time.

i had no struggles at all. the tutorial island and the forums was where i went when i needed answers to my questions. i asked a question, and in some manner they were all answered. got the hang of the server and its community and made my way to my first region and town in a short timespand. it helps to donate, as you will benefit and help keep the server which we all love running :)
