So my run... eff 5 unbreak 3 fortune 3 with pyro plus, water +, fly + and every other donation needed for mining I did it from 8am-2:30 pm with a 1 hour break at 10am, so 5 1/2 hours, yesterday method was 2x1 straight at 10 speed varied, I used speed 3 with out super breaker and speed 7 for super breaker active and continued a straight line, my super breaker is pretty long and frequent btw. I sold everything yesterday, and this morning I realized I had to do this so I hope this suffices Total gain: 50k
This is my first 1 hour undistracted run. This was done with silk touch first, then a fortune III in the mining world. Ores: 24 gold ore, 4 emerald ore, 101 redstone ore, 257 coal ore, 134 iron ore, 3 lapis ore, 30 diamond ore, Waste: 16 stacks of dirt, 18 stone (at end of run, sold lots), 63 glowstone dust (excavation byproduct), 3 obsidian (lava product; accidentally kept) Live Load: Baked Potatoes (less than 1 stack), Maxed Silk Diamond Pick, Max Diamond Shovel Worth: 24 gold ingots ($240@$10 each), 134 iron ingots ($1005@$7.50 each), 597 redstone dust ($895.50@$1.50 each), 589 coal ($589@$1 each), 36 lapis lazuli ($135@$3.75 each), 56 diamonds($1400@$25 each), 12 emeralds(NA) Total Worth of all server priced items: $4264.50
This is what I found after about 45 minutes of mining: 247 Iron Ore - @ $7.25 each / total: $1790.75 378 Redstone Ore - @ $7.00 each / total: $2646.00 256 Coal Ore - @ 90 cents each / total: $233.10 32 Gold Ore - @ $11.00 each / total: $352.00 22 Lapis Ore - @ $50.00 each / total: $1100.00 16 Diamond Ore - @ $59.00 each / total: $944.00 2 Emerald Ore - @ $88.00 each / total: $176.00 Grand total of all ores: $7241.85 Also, along the way on my mining trips I always sell extra dirt, stone, or gravel that I may collect, so I have more room in my inventory for other ores and gems. Note: I usually mine in an extreme hills biome. These biomes are the best to mine in, as they usually contain the most mined goods and materials. All of these ores were mined with an Efficiency 5, Unbreaking 3, Silk Touch 1 diamond pickaxe. I mine at layer (y) 11, in a straight 2x1 tunnel.
This is my second recorded run. None of these runs use an EFF7. All were done primarily using a Eff5 Silk1 Unb3 diamond pick. This trip was planned to have an inventory filled with ores. I plan to experiment with an Ender Chest to carry more. I will not show prices yet. This is what i wanted to show. The inventory is shown above. If anyone knows the ore values (TanMan) if they could say the value in this forum, that'd be fantastic. I plan to fortune these ores (save the smelt required ones). I will get the values from the fortune drops thusly. Lastly, in the words of @andrewkm, happy mining and mob grinding! I did the fortune on them. The total value of all salable items is $16852.25.
Say you didn't have fly+, if you fell from a high area, you could place the water and land in it, and you will not take damage. Also, it could be useful if you wanted to place it over lava and turn it into obsidian to walk over. Ie. If there were ores over that lava pool, the water could turn it into obsidian and the ores would not burn.
