I started off being a random builder which nobody knew, so I decided to join the forums. I found a very nice user named Endoric , who is now inactive, that gave me a plot in his town for free. This town had a 50x50 pumpkin farm. Pumpkins were worth $2 in my time of being a builder, so I got 4k rather quickly. I then donated for 10,000 ecodollars, then applied for Resident. It took me a month -.-. But I am a mayor now!

My story so far:
I started in the wild and went far far away from spawn. I dug down and found an underwater lake. I had planned on staying there and building up a wheat farm around it while fishing, but to my surprise I was lucky and on my 2nd day, in an auction, I bought a 20x20 plot for 1k. I had just learned to vote and barely had it. When I was tp'd to my new home, the mayor was trying to build a second town right next to it and told me he would pay me 1k to place dirt down over the water. Heck, a free job and I get my money back? I agreed. He pointed me to a double chest full of dirt and I began placing it over the water. I think he was surpised I was haleping (I don;t think he knew how bad off I was) because he actually paid me about $2500 in total in about 2 days. Every time he came to me he asked "would you mind helping me count these blocks" "Would you mind helping me section of these plots" etc... And I figured, why not.

Then about day 4 or 5, I learned about 'SNIPE'. Someone was saying there was a game at spawn. I went to spawn and followed the crowd. I saw everyone staring at a chest and I did the same. Stuff kept appearing and I kept grabbing it. I saw a shiny glowing book and grabbed it. I had no idea what it was. I heard in chat "Who won?" "Who has it?" "What is the secret word?" But I was just trying to figure out what this book was. I read it and found out I was supposed to IM a player a word. I did and found out I had won a free 10x10 plot.

Still a builder, my luck continued. I had my first plot, in which the mayor had fishing tables and we were so far away that I could jump out of town and mine and acutally get iron and stuff. And in my second plot/town there was a HUGE melon farm.

I had NO intention of becoming resident. I figured why bother, I was happy being a builder and just raking in the money and relaxing with no responsibilites. Then, one day, I tried to lock a chest and found out I had used up all my locks. So I applied for resident to increase my locks.

I got resident that night and the next day logged in and someone was selling a unique item in auction. I was interested so I started cashing in everything I had. I cashed in about 60-65k worth of iron blocks and clay blocks and rails and melons. Unfortunately I was outbid. As luck would have it, one of the very next auctions was for a town. Heck, I thought, why not. The bid was so low, and I had this extra cash, so I entered the auction. I was shocked when I won at a price that I thought was low. I mean, if becoming mayor is 85k and every town you create after that, goes up in cost, who would sell a town for under 50k? A brand new town at that.

I was resident for about 2 hours and I owned a town. (I later found out that builders couldn;'t be owners, so I thought it was great timing on my part).

One day later: The person who bought that unique item (I had stayed in contact) realized that it wasn't so cool to spend all your eccodollars on something that they couldn't use/show. So they agreed to sell it to me for a reduced price. Again I sold my stuff to raise the cash, but I had internet problems and was unable to log in and buy it. When I finally was able to log in, amazingly there was another town auction going on. It took me all of 3 secs to say "I'm buying this one too". But I was outbid.

As I quickly learned, the person who outbid me and the seller were working together to raise my bid, because as soon as I dropped out they both pm'd me saying I could buy it at the price I had previosuly bid. I actually talked them down a few thousand by saying I wasn't sure and I barely ahd that money etc... Well, they finally sold it to me for about 40k or so.

2 days as resident and I owned 2 towns and I paid less than 85k total for both.
People keep telling me "you can't build a portal" and "you bought the towns, you didn;t create them" I don't care. When I become a mayor, it will be with my 3rd town, and if I create it right next to one of the other towns and build the portal right there, it will work for both towns.

Of course. Now I am dirt poor, but happy. I need to raise the eccodollars to get someone to buy me multihomes as getting around is kind of tough right now ;)

 

Around Februari 2011 I started my own server and I was having fun with it, the only thing that isn't fun is being server owner or admin of somesort. I like to live in the wild and with the /gamemode command I could change my gamemode and I know myself. I can not resist the temptation of changing my gamemode.

Because being a server owner, admin, mod and so on comes with a lot of nagging of stupid players I wanted some rest and my own playtime. Therefore I looked for a nice server to play in. I found ECC ! back than #2 of the serverlist I looked on.

I didn't know anything about the server, the only thing I knew was that it was all about money. From my own server I knew a lot of commands without the /help section. So I knew you could use /sell hand, here my story begins.

I lived in the wild for about 4 months, I noticed that there were places I couldn't get into. When I was mining I saw notifications like: You do not have permission to build in this area. I asked in global chat how I could have access to one of this areas. Someone told me that they were cities he/she also told me to ask a mayor to buy a plot from him/her.

So my quest to find a plot started, I asked, asked, asked, asked and maybe you can guess .... I asked some more but nobody wanted a builder in their city. :( FINALLY !!! I found myself a mayor, he just started a city and he asked me to help him make his city flat. So I worked for him and after 2 weeks and some more villagers helped clearing the area the city was flat. :) <--- This was me, I was so happy that I could start building a house. So because I was the first villager and me doing the most work the mayor awarded me a 20x20 plot. I build the best house I could do without using fly, I can assure you "IT WAS GORGEOUS" I build more of those and the city looked great. About a week later I logged in again and I was stunned, my house was GONE :eek: not only my house was gone, the complete city was griefed. So in my rage I found out that ECC had a website (I really didn't know this :p) so I signed myself up for it (This is also why my MEMBER SINCE date is not correct (I was on the server way before that)). I wrote the worst grief report ever (Funny to look this up, look for my name in search). Someone told me that why everything was gone was because of the mayor using X-Ray (THE SON OF A .... GUN).

I now knew that it was possible to become a mayor myself, so I looked for the serverowner (yeah really, I wanted to speak with him) and asked him how to become one. He replied and told me that I should become a resident first, so my reaction was "How do I do that". He replied (I wonder if I annoyed him with the questions) make a application on the website. So I did, I was already in the server for more than 5 months and had collected about 40k. So I applied for Resident.

The first thing I did as a Resident was buying a new plot, this plot was in igorvanloo his city, I build the greatest house again. Also was his first villager btw. He noticed my building skills and told me that I could make a lot of money with that. I asked a lot of mayors to come and look at my buildings and they wanted me to build houses like that in their cities.

That was when I found kevin24068 he was co-mayor back than of a city, he asked me to build his house on a 20x30 plot. I said no problem, and of course I build him the best I could. He liked it so much that he asked me to build 8 more houses in the city. I earned more then 100k building houses (not only from kevin of course) and applied for mayor.

That will be my story hope you guys/girls liked it, I also hope to see you all ingame one day.

 

When I got resident, I went into the miningworld and fought sitomo; he killed me with his fist. I only cried for 20 minutes.

 

Welp, It was winter break in February and I was always trying to find the perfect server and never could so I searched up minecraft servers on google and I clicked on minestatus. I found EcoCityCraft and went on it. For the first time on any server I went on, someone helped me. It was a blue moderator, I think camcliff and he said that I could do many things like join a town, make money, ext. I learned how to make money and I went to the wild (back then the wild was epic!) and I would kill mobs with other builders. I made a house about 200-400 blocks away from the wild portal underground. I told my friend about the server (lolshane) and he lived with me in my epic hole mansion. After a few days in the server I found 30 diamonds from dead players. I made diamond armour and tools and I was tired of living in the wild and I found this great town called Paradise. The plots were 5k-7k and that was like 50k to me back then so I ask to join a town and then I met Tazzman7227. He was a builder and I didn't know about the rules about builders not being able to own towns and all. His "town" was in the wild next to the new town Appalosa. I bought a plot for 300 and we made more friends and made a 70x70 "town" called Sandy Resort that lasted for about a week. It had a mayor's mansion, hotel, and villagers! We didn't even know that it was greifable. And then a troll came taking our wheat. His name was Tallen. And then another troll came and his name was slobothegreat or something like that and after an hour I finally made a hole and we all killed him with sand. Then 1 day later a greifer showed up and greifed the whole town infront of us. We try'd to kill him with sand but it didn't work. He greifed everything and I was so mad! His name was... zardgyer. Yes! zard greifed me! And I hated him so much. He was a builder back then to. So tazz bought a plot from treeskee and we all moved there except me! I was mad at them for just leaving the town so I bought my own plot. It didn't really matter since we lived only 30 blocks away and we were still friends. Tazzman and Cline became my best friends on Ecc. I later on might have had the most plots in the town :p . I bought a new plot that was 40x30 from BurnsBrightly who was co mayor and resident then.I sold my "epic" mansion for 23k and then I sold my new one for 20k too. I then bought resident and had a bank/store with Cline. My friend lolshane was unbanned and came back on. He moved to Appa and mined there and hit a huge pumpkin farm (pumpkins were 2$ each then). He thought it was in the wild and Tallen was co mayor there to and banned him. lolshane got banned again but then later on got unbanned. He donated $500 and became the 2nd vip builder! (I think). He made a town and I moved there and I became co mayor. When we were 70% done flattening and he got perma banned for paypal problems so I became the owner (still a resident though). After me and Clined finished the town and I made about 20-30k a week. And then I needed a mansion as all mayors should! So I then met ReDnAx1991. I liked the first house he made so I hired him to do a few more. Then this player was looking for a 20x20 plot for 4k and his name was BRYCEY365 and he was a resident back then. I sold him the plot and he lied to me (I didn't know back then) and asked if I could add this builder named Skullman774. Apparently they were cousins. Then the mineworld was created. Then brycey and me were not really friends then and he got mayor and I removed him from town and did not even let him get his chests. Skull and me became great friends and he would always jump on my lawn and steal my potions! He gave them back of course. Then I saw people geting mayor and I was mad that I didn't have the money to so I got a loan from Powerblock for 50k and had to pay back 60k. I made a town, made Skull co mayor and became rich! But since I couldn't resist I spent it :p . dpatt7711 (DFat) started in that town. Oh yeah I forgot to add that I met thatguy111111 when I was a res and he did jobs for me and we became friends too. xxHoboBunnyxX started there too! I hired him and payed in 60-75k in builds. And then I was looking for epic towns and outerlocal pmed me saying his was great. I saw this epic opera house and I tped hobo there to see. He bought a plot in Germon and outerlocal liked his builds and then outer I guess payed hobo his mayor and made the great nation of Caprica. Hobo left me :'( . Burns made me an epic modern mansion for free and I loved it! And then my town was very active but then 1-2 months later it became a ghost town. A player named cpt_shelly was mad that I banned him for greifing and his friends in the town were mad at him too. He wanted his donation money back (about 15-20k) but he clearly did not understand was donation ment :p . Anyway I renewed the town and still am and that is my EcoCityCraft life story.

More info I forgot to say. Tazz was banned for minor greifing and I'm guessing he didn't know how to get unbanned and Cline never goes on. I met tymoyer when the town was new and he won 400k in loto (1 tic win from rabid) but then quit and got banned for 4 months and then came back. He made a town next to mine before that.I miss the town lolshane made. The members there were really nice too. I also dont hate zard anymore and I got him back by five staring him in the back (check his spoiler :D).

First, I saw a portal. it was the pvp portal. i went inside, and i got killed. then rick4mic came and helped me get a plot in nobleville. Then, i started my carreer as a farmer. once i had about 14k, i got a generous gift from mchow009 so i decided to get resident! Yay!:p
