In Game Name: NessXXIIIWhat part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for: Website & ForumsShort title for your suggestion: Official Section w/ form for ECC EventsWhat are you suggesting: I am suggesting a section under forums that is specifically designated to event suggestionsWhy is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: Currently there is a sticky forum page for event suggestions but this format doesn't allow for easy sharing, visibility or formatting. A dedicated section in the forums with a dedicated application will rectify these issues.Other information: Streamlining and organizing the event suggestions might help to enrich ECC and make more events possible. At the very least it will be easier to gauge community opinions as the suggestions wont be buried in a comment on a sticky post in competitions thread.Plugin or custom addition: One suggestion per form: I Understand.
The terrible argument of “it’s not used so it’s not needed” maybe it’s not used because it isn’t easy how are you going to ask for ways to make ecc less about grinding and then roadblock every suggestion trying to facilitate that shortly afterwards? hell, I didn’t even know about the event section until someone suggested a magic item give away and was directed there, and I spend a LOT of time on the forums. I can only imagine how hard it is for people who already have a difficult time navigating the forums to find the corner that the sticky to event suggestions is hidden in
I think he already did : the thread is hard to find, and gets some visibility only when there is a new post. I actually agree. After seeing this suggestion I wanted to find the thread to take a look at what was suggested in, and couldn't find it. Finally I had to write "events" in the search bar to find it back. The only issue is that it will be kinda annoying for Clar, cuz rn I guess when she is thinking about event possibilities she just has to check the thread so it is easier (with this she would have to check various threads). However, what could be finally interesting with this dedicated section, is that it will encourage players to discuss about it (rn on the thread except your argument and another suggestion I don't remember of, there aren't enough discussion)
+1 The way to navigate to event suggestions and share stuff could be easier/more visible. Could lead to some better discussion like in this forum section too (for general suggestions). Plus more events might attract more players. That’s what Best Moderator @Karin_88 said in the discussion thread about getting more people to join ecc: https://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/how-can-we-get-more-players-to-join.209044/
+1 From what i heard events are going to play a huge role in ecc's exposure so a section would definitely help with exposure There could also be like a timetable where we could see all the events that are happening during the upcoming weeks
That would actually be super cool if it could be implemented easily. Incredibly handy and people could make an effort to be on at specific times. Organizational improvements are always a +1 from me
When we do have server events planned at least, they will be in their own little thread within "News, Annoucements & Server Information" and they'll have a timeline if there are multiple ones planned in a month (See: https://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/june-events.199564/) Clar usually posts them Unless you mean any player events, that's mostly up to the player to create a thread to advertise it.
And this totally helps, but a visual table with a calendar might help even more, as dates and numbers can be hard to keep track of without. Of course one could use their own calendars when the info is given to them via “News, Announcements & Server Information” but it would still be nice if it was on the forums. But if this complicated things too much or put too heavy of a workload on event coordinators I would completely understand.
Oh you mean like have a little calendar widget of sorts on the main forums page, that would have bolded/underlined dates, and people could click on them to see what's going on that day? That wouldn't be too bad of an idea if so.
According to Clare this isn't needed. As she runs events I'll be going off that. Just use the suggestion section to suggest events. I've added an Event tag to the suggestion form to make things more clear.
