For complaints requiring the response of another player, along with tagging the user, have the staff member send a short forum PM to them. Ex: "A user complaint has been filed on you. Please respond within 24 hours or you may be banned. (link here)"Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?:
By default, everyone on forums receives emails when conversations are started, but are not notified when their name is mentioned. Many people check their email regularly but not the forums. Therefore, sending PMs would increase the number of players who actually see these complaints. While it's true some people deliberately choose not to respond, many are simply unaware there's an immediate problem that needs to be sorted out. Implementing a protocol like this will cause those users to quickly explain their situation before it's too late.Other information:
