+1 Great idea, this is a chest, so it shuld be lockable

 

This is impossible with how LWC works, LWC protects the block area itself, and the location, A minecart is a movable entity, therefore once it moves past the place where it was locked it would become unlocked. so this is impossible with the way LWC currently works.

 

Unless someone epic enough found a way to change that.

 

That is impossible, because as an entity, it counts as nothing and something at the same time, so unless you change minecraft to make it an immovable block it won't work with LWC.

nope sorry, even they could not, it is a near impossible to fix bug, and Notch no longer works on minecraft, he is just a creative idea source, and Jeb_ has much bigger fish to fry.

Hidendra is the LWC developer, he will likely never support entities like the minecart-chest, this is just too big of a hassle and LWC is meant for regular chests (nearly no one use minecart chests anyway)

 

Here is an idea, get a whole bunch of rails, a lot of obsidian, two minecarts, a chest and an oven
Make an obsidian tube that can be sealed off to prevent people from grabbing stuff inside. Put the minecart chest infrint of the engine cart and put coal in the engine. Voila, just go to the other end to collect stuff.

 

Yes but in a protected area they would need acess. And having it deep underground to avoid traffic helps.
