Why do we only have a complaint forum? I know of people helping people for no money, just because they were nice. It seems to me that it would be a good thing to read some positive things about what happens on ECC. I know I would post there!.
Having a forum like this would be a positive and good thing for ECC. I'm very tired of only seeing negatives about some users.
Please consider a Kudos, or Recommendation forum!

I'm sorry but -1
You can not recommend someone and then could start a flame war and your purpose was to get your point saying "He's terrible! Don't buy from him!" The you have your flame war. Sorry but I don't think this idea will happen. -

How about it works like a complaint thread. Someone compliments them, then a mod locks it. People see it and there is no flame war. All that people can do is give positive ratings. I love the idea so +1

Although that's a great idea, Staff simply wouldn't have the time (Or at least I'm assuming with all the other workload they have) to lock all the new threads that would pop up immediately. There might be a way to have threads in certain categories auto-lock, but I don't think so and it would take time to develop, it wouldn't be worth it in the end for Andrewkm to hire someone work on. I like the idea of a compliments sub-forum / forum, but it would take time to work out an appropriate system to prevent flame wars. So I'm giving you neither a -1 or a +1 OP. (Original Poster, if you're not familiar with the term. :p) -

That would be great because when a user dose something nice it often goes unnoticed.
