Should I remove the furnace bunny? The furnaces are not locked and are never used. Just decoration, but I will change it to a different material if needed. It is made out of 1851 furnaces. Also, the area is not very active, but there are a few people that are in this town and the towns near it. I'm not sure how often the chunk is active.
I don't know if its relevant but locked buttons and levers are extremely glitchy. They can easily broken by destroying the block it is sitting on. As far as I was aware, like signs, that shouldn't be possible. Therefore it is almost impossible to secure a structure using those.
I guess this means that people needing secure buttons and leavers, can now place these on a locked obsidian to prevent issues! Yay for unintended benefits.
Well the reason I'm asking is because, what if we want to lock a block and let it be pretty. Ie: Normally we lock it with a sign on the inside, but thats not allowed anymore. Buttons don't work and neither do levers. Obsidian blocks would only lock that block. etc etc. So I guess, I'm just wondering if its possible?
When I made my mayor town, I found someone who used over 100 furnaces to protect a single cactus. EDIT: Maybe he thought it was Kuke? xD
Moderation is the word. If you plan on building a house out of diamond blocks, build it in a town you trust, trust the normal anti-griefing rules, or build in a cage of obsidian. If you need to protect a handful of blocks, then signs are still fine. But really the point of towns is that this shouldn't really be an issue. If there are some blocks you think should be lockable, give me or andrewkm a shout, if you give a good enough reason, we can add them. I added player/mob heads fairly recently, due to me wanting to place skylexia's head in my statue.
Ummmm... The mere thought of me LWCing my obsidian structure gives me a headache. Is there a limit to how many obsidian blocks you can LWC? Just curious. I don't think I would really want to spend the time to LWC my replica of Chicago's Sears (A.K.A Willis) Tower. It is like 25000 obsidian blocks.
Would there ever be any thought given to allowing Mayors/Presidents to get access to create subregions within their towns, possibly as a donation feature? That would resolve some of these issues, I think.
Dang this mean I wont be getting free stuff because I thougt you guys was removing all lwcs for furnaces
Running around stealing from unlocked furnaces isn't exactly a morally good move. Especially if they were unlocked against their will.
