Well the Intel only is simply because for higher end pcs Intel is almost always better and gives you more choice. However I personally favour AMD graphics cards over Nvidia because they are often cheaper than the equivelent Nvidia gpu.

in the second build you put in the biostar ta970. i own and am currently using that board and from experiance its absolute trash. i also own the fx 6300 mentioned. the 6300 has a turbo clock of 4.1ghz. the ta970's 4+1 power will not handle the turbo clock. the highest it can get to without bluescreens is 3.8ghz. i got the mobo on sale for 50$. and im still regretting the buy to this day.

These are taken from the sources but it is good to know your issues. One would also mention that it is a budget build and to not expect too much out of it.

added a few systems to baseline and performance. Dropped the price to the performance. For anyone looking to build the Baseline should be the bottom of your choices. Try and get to the highest baseline or lowest performance.

Their is a lull in pc building at the moment. I would stay away from the x79 boards and wait for August 29th ish for the X99 release and the 2011-3 socket. Haswell-E. This will require DDR4 and the new Haswell line of cpu's.
