    I feel like this would give gravel a use in life, seeing as how gravel is stupid in pointless. (In my opinion at least..lol)

    Plus I think it would be fun finding gravel deposits and getting flint, this would also promote mining and enchanting tools for fortune.

    Why? Fortune has a chance of dropping flint, but of course it won't drop a gravel block then - so you'd be very limited with one single gravel deposit.

    I thought that a fort shovel would drop flint EVERY time. so if you had 64 gravel you could stack and dig repeatedly for tons of flint. But it's not exactly EASY to get fort onto a shovel.

    Fortune III has a 100% drop chance, yes.
    No. You place 64 blocks, break them with a fortune III shovel and now have 64 flint and zero gravel.
