I know that there are services to take overhead (satellite?) pictures of a town through a minimap program, but I'm looking for something different.
I want to be able to take screenshots / pics of something I'm building that is 300x140x70 (built way above ground level), but I can't see the entire thing from any angle. I can see the back half, then slide toward the front... then the back disappears while the front end chunks load.
I know it's not my MC because I am basically copying something someone else built outside of ECC (yes, they are getting design credit, I'm just taking "Xerox" credit *grin*) and I can see the entire thing in single player. I don't have different settings for each (unless there are "multi-player" and "single player" options...)
Ideas anyone? Or is this just not possible due to ECC server settings?
Or... anyone have suggestions for a video flythrough software that I could just make a movie with? (I've seen them on YouTube, just no idea what they used to make them)

ECC's render distance is 5 chunks, meaning you can only see that far around you in any direction (5 chunks = 80 blocks).

Try using a map? I have maps for each of my towns.

You would just have to use it in the middle. The way that maps work is that you have to right click before it is activated, if I am not mistaken.

get a map downloader, like a mod that literally downloads the chunks as you run through them, load all chunks by running over them, then import to a single player world with huge render distance and voila.
(NOTE: I did a quick check on the wiki and don't think so, but such a thing MAY be discouraged/not allowed. im not 100% certain.) -

For the flyby video If your looking for a recording software, I reccommend dxtory( costs money but good quality and doesn't take up much storage),bandicam(the best imo, it's free but u can pay to a full version, really good quality depending on your pc and takes up minimal storage). And fraps(takes up a lot of space but good quality).
Good luck!
