I can confirm that it shows as online when vanished.

This has been fixed in the latest update.

I wonder if this is related - doing /seen on a user I know was on before the recent reboot says he has been offline for 8 hours - et he was on 10 minutes ago.

 

Still happening for me, I just checked /v and /seen on myself

 

Essentials has made some changes with vanished players.

• vanished players are now visible to themselves
• vanished players are now visible to all staff
• vanished players can now be interacted with by staff/self in commands that previously didn't work

If you notice you can see people with /seen who are vanished and who is not yourself, then do post in here.

 

I'm gonna bump this, I was in vanish and people were saying they could still see me with /seen
