Can be exploited way to easily, -1.

 

I think he means if they achieve the Resident rank then they would receive the $5000. As for exploitation who would make a $25 account for $5000 in ECD?

-1 Can be exploited and @konradminecraft "Jimmy" can hack accounts but maybe you can limit how many refferals per account like 1-4? and if for example i use @konradminecraft refferal lets say only 3 refferals per 1 account and konrad linked 3 players he can't link more players but instead of getting 15k he could get a medal on the forums? "The Reffering medal" or Trophy points or just 500$ per refferal or a small gift

 

Yea I feel like this is a good basic idea and needs to be improved upon.

Maybe it should be if they buy something in the shop whoever referred them gets like 10 nstars

 

@ldw116 umm that is not good, someone can buy 1000$ worth of donations and he would get 10,000 nstars which cost 4.5m (spawnshop prices) and 1.5m (server price) and alot of people can donate 1000$

 

In other games you don't get the bonus till they reach a certain level or rank. Perhaps when they hit mayor the reward falls.

-1 There are too many things that could go wrong with this, and too many things go wrong already.

 

Actually, the builder has to make $15,000 Ecodollars in order to make resident. Now lets say someone did make 5 fake accounts. This player must still work and play the server himself to earn the alt $15,000 Ecodollars. Then he only makes $5,000 Ecodollars. Who would do this? Also, as to the point of 5 mil into the economy, this isn't actually the case, since for every $5k paid out as a result of this program, $15,000 is taken out.

 

Actually, the idea is great as is. Even the hacker would need to play the hacked accounts himself to earn the $15,000 Ecodollars. And earn only $5,000 Ecodollars

 

I love this idea, it would breathe life into the new builders that make it into this economy. I would incentivize the acquisition of new builders via the issuing of imaginary currency. Andrew spends a large amount of money promoting the server via ads. If players want to start their own promotions to earn in game money, let them! And as for the people that would just invite their family and friends to play, those players personally invited to play by the first player are dramatically more likely to stay on the server and prosper/donate to it because they know people on the server. This can also be seen as extending the usefulness of Andrew's own advertising. Say a group of 4-5 minecraft players are not playing minecraft for lack of a decent server. A single player of that group seeing Andrew's advertisement would ensure the joining of the remaining members of that group. If this group is strong, it is very likely that they will grow in the server and become frequent players such as the rest of us.

 

This is a great idea, it won't spawn in money because they would have to get res. +3 1/2

Huh? Where did you get 10,000 nstars from? Who is going to buy a 15$ feature for 10 nstars?

 

Buddy I think your seeing things. No where in the suggestion does it say anything about resident or even having this linked to in-game accounts. It is incredibly easy to make fake forum accounts and there is room for mass exploit.

I think the referred person should get 1k or so. This can't be abused, because it can be checked by user login in ip address.
