@manerman12 Can you explain why you haven't returned the pickaxe?

I contacted staff 64 hours ago about the situation, because the item was no longer in my possesion. @Physicistsmom has confirmed that there are no logs of anyone else having this pick so it was most likely caught by butcher when I was getting an erep from @GMaxx. I had no idea that it wasnt safe to trade items through drop in Rising. Well it wasnt listed in my contract Either. I simply had no chance of knowing, and I think it is very unfair to put all the blame on me.

@JamieSinn confirmed to me that the butchering happends randomly. The thing is, the item was on the ground for approximately 0.15 seconds - @GMaxx can confirm. I have no idea how long time it took @MCHelix3000 to collect that item, but I do know that it took me and my 6 friends a month to collect that 400k @MCHelix3000 has in collectoral. Me and @MCHelix3000 discussed how oftenly this kind of "theft" happends and as he has the most experience in here of the two of us I trust his words that roughly 10% of all startools getting "lost" is from this kind. I could easily understand the feeling of requirement to collect everything back, if only I had "lost" it - i mean dying with it or breaking it or giving it away for free, renting it out etc.... I calculated that this little "mistake" of mine would take me atleast another month of intense gaming or 180$ in donations to folks for eccdollars. I'm not even gonna go down that road, due to how this went down. Im truly sorry for what happend, and it will newer happend again from me - but trust me when I say that this will happend again on the server - and that it would be in everyones best interest to promote the danger or not so likely regulate server-setup. I'm out of words - most players on the server spammed me "R.I.P" when I told them what happend. I truly enjoy playing on the server, I have made a lot of new friends which I share moments with, I even participated in some roleplaying - This is a huge development for me. Unfourtunaly im bound by righteousness which means that there is No way that I will indebt myself 1mil ecodollars to "theft".
Staff or experienced players might not consider the butchering theft, but since i made sure that there were no "Server butchering" in Rising I think i did my part. Surely It is promoted every day to use chest for ereps, but the thing is I thought that it was safe in Rising, and I assumed that Mining world and Nether was the places to be afraid of dropping.

I really hope there is another way forward from here - I would really hate to say goodbye.

 

Some might say that I acknowledged danger to the item by dropping it -> players placing lava -> /fly etc. The thing is the trade was in a locked room in my own town -> GMaxx was the only one in the area:
I simply lagged insight in one precaution.

 

It wasent "lost" in my possesion - it got stolen from the ground.

 

As far as I knew dropping items was a very common way to trade -.-

 

I will be tagging @maroiogog as @manerman12 also rented his melon sword. (I believe) I did ereps for him while he had this sword. He dropped it on the ground, and I gave him fair warning as to what could happen. I believe this is plain ignorance or laziness. Either way, I hope you get your pick or money @MCHelix3000

 

As i recall you gave me warnings of a specific "server butcher" which apperently is where the problem strains from. This is where I asked Jaime if Sever butchering was active in Rising - Which it is not. What I lagged insight in was the Mojang Butcher, which no one ever talks about apperently. Every time we get warned to use chest it is always with a "server" before butcher. However, how much I find that I have got deceived- I am working on collection it back as this is clearly not @MCHelix3000 fault. I simply want to contribute to the community - people lag awereness in what "butchering" is, and how many kinds there are. Im not sure if there is a word for it, but what i am trying to do i s sort of - mini-developing. Simply expressing my thoughts on what i feel is no players fault. At first my intentions were to lowball this and write something about "how the highest authourity should prove that the item is truly has no prospect of recovery." However i feel that this probably wont do any good anyways - cause surely they could just make another pickaxe for you, but that wouldnt be rightious either. I really dont hope you have the impression of me being ignorant or lazi? I worked really hard on collection 400k which technically got stolen away from be + another 600k - it's not the easiest thing to proces.
I estimate ill have another pickaxe for you @MCHelix3000 in 2 weeks or so. Im sorry, but I will newer see this as my fault. The community simply means more to me than my rightousness it seams -.-

 

Honestly, if you lost in via butcher it's your problem. You should have used a chest.

 

@manerman12 As it currently stands you agreed to pay @MCHelix3000 600k if the pick was lost or destroyed. I understand it's not your fault that the pickaxe was lost but unfortunately it was lost while you were responsible for the pickaxe. Are you prepared to pay @MCHelix3000 600k for the pickaxe within 1 month, as stated in the original contract?

Yes, i assumed most experience players would comprehend I was responsible - I can only tell you what i know of this situation and because i only have 1 month ingame playtime I think it is okay to take reallife law into account, because how much does an "average player on ecc with one months play time" know? You see in tort every case gets before a judge who compares the felon with someone named "Bonus Pater" the average person. So ask your self how would an "average ecc user with 1 months playtime" should have acted? I would say I have gotten around 100 ereps total where atleast 80 of them were by drop - surely i was told to take precautions for a well known butchering called "server butchering" - the thing is I did - I asked Jaime. - no serverbutchering in Rising. Surely i knew that by dropping the item "things can happend to it - lava, /fly people etc." which is why I did it in my own town in a locked room. I took all the precations the "average 1 months ecc user" would. I dont think im being ignorant nor lazi. I will collect @MCHelix3000 his belongings back (not because I "lost" it) but because i feel like the server couldn't possibly change it's law with my case already running. I will personally do everything I can to make the server law differ as little as reasonably possible, because every one I asked thinks that the butchering sucks. It might take a month, hell mabye a year, I just Hope. If I havent convinced you yet, please follow shia labeouf instructions in his motivational video as I did (warning you may be effected by it) ;-).

Now for Myminecrafters question:
Unless MCHelix would agree that i could choose between the 600k and a new eff7 I think i will have to give him what is listed in the contract. However I do not know if it is fair as the sum (600k+400k=1m) is probably more than it would cost for me to collect a new one by Nstars. The Decission is your MChelix -> What may I?
