Erm, I payed 205k. $30 usd is 150k. The town has been priced since then at 500-600k, so no, I'll pass. I payed for it, and if you screwed up, I intend to receive full retail price back. It's your fault not mine this situation has happened.
Ninja, there's not a "retail price" on a town, and I would simply be returning the amount you agreed to pay. Also, the USD price is $6.75/USD, if I'm not mistaken, and you know I would never intend to cheat your amount. And above all, please see that I'm trying my absolute best to act justly in resolving an issue that lacks documentation, yet still deserves my best attempt to be made right. Nothing about this was intended and I just wanted to see Divinity in proper hands within my legal bounds. Just know regardless of everything, I intend to do the best I can to make this up to Obble
The retail price is nowhere near 6.75k per use and you know that. There have been thousands sold at 5k per Usd the last week or 2, heck, I just bought $104 in features for 5k per usd. Either way I'm not interested in features. It atm is my town, and no, I'm not trying to be selfish, but I own it and don't intent to give it up for a fair amount under retail value.
The best you can do atm is pay me retail price, or return the eff 7 he payed you to own the town, assuming it comes down to that
I just bought several features for the USD price I offered about a month ago, and again, I am trying to offer reparation for something that was within my legal bounds, if poorly done in so many ways. I just don't know what more I can do, yet I will make this up to Obble. It is so important to me as to what is right or wrong now than what was legal or not legal months ago.
Appreciate your attitude towards it Devoted. Unfortunately I also lost the documentation months ago when wiping my old PC. I spoke in game with minecraftninja yesterday about it all as well and said I'd be happy if Minecraftninja was refunded the money paid to the town, plus I throw in a share of my own ECD to assist in paying. On top of that I said he can have as much time as he needs to clear the blocks/work/items that he has contributed to the town while I was away, and keep the /warp divinity store he owns until he has another place to put it, while still being allowed to advertise his store there and profit from that. I'm being as generous as I can, but really "legally" there's nothing I can do about it. It all depends on how kind minecraftninja is in the situation. Another proposed offer was I co-own the town with Minecraftninja which I refused (for now). And I proposed we co-own the town and I also co-own foix with apple + minecraftninja. Seeing as I have known apple for 3+ years. EDIT: Honestly though... minecraftninja, you bought the town for just over 200k. I bought it last year at a price of around 750k (Eff7). And you claim it is worth 500-600k currently. You got the town for 1/3 of the value and are wanting a full payment for the town. That's 400k profit, Devoted (I believe) sold the town for 2 reasons. 1. to immediately clear debt, and 2. To assure the community within the town is kept active, so far all I see is a warp shop and no real community unfortunately. I'm not after the town for the value, more so for the potential community it can hold and did have. Anyway: @Nicit6
I have sold roughly 25 plots and 15 apts, I can assure you I tend to it. I have done maybe 6 lwc apps, all with about 3-5 different users in each. The town wasn't in pristine condition when I obtained it. Also, the shop is a big deal. I have seen numerous town members use it to help with resources and what not. I have done more than you seem to think with the town. Atm I'm not loving the idea of giving it away for 200k, or any #'s in that range, but we'll see. Edit: I don't like this situation anymore than you do. I understand your attitude towards the matter, that being "I gave up an eff 7 for the town, and now I don't even own it anymore". Yes, I get that. You also got to realize that I've spent a decent amount of time on the town, and hope to finish more. I had plans to buy an eff 7 and clear sanctus_real to bedrock so I'd have a 200x400 to bedrock
Alright I understand that. I'm not sure what will come out of the situation, but like I said earlier it's not the monetary value invested it's my time also. It was nowhere near finished but I was working on it. It's just badluck that you bought the town quite a while ago without being aware of what was going on I suppose. We'll just have to wait and see if any staff comment to guide me/us in the right direction.
Just saw that you tagged me... you must've edited the tag in as it didn't send me an alert. Sorry about that :/ So legally, here's how this looks like it's working: Original owners (here, Devoted) can reclaim towns if the current owner has been offline a certain amount of time - this is usually around 1 month. If there is a contract (though none has been found/linked) it is possible that Devoted may have waived this right and breached the contract however, as none has been provided I doubt this is the case. This means that Devoted had the right to reclaim the town and sell it to another player, and there is nothing we can do from here legally (unless proof can be provided that a contract/agreement was breached).
No worries. At the end of the day it's all virtual However there was no official "reclaiming". I don't want to get Devoted into trouble so I'll just leave it as is.
