Hello.
I'm suggesting the donation feature of town name changing. I think this feature is vital for the reason that if someone named their town due to it's theme, and decide to change the theme in the future, they should be allowed to change the name as well. Although, Andy has his own reasoning for not having this, I think it'd be nice to have it as a $5 USD donation feature. (Hence we don't have one).
Hope to here everyones feedback. :)

Can't be $5; Andrew loses money on such small donations, because of taxes.

Yes, he does. ECC is run like a business in terms of the behind the scenes stuff, like having the server and the vent server and the website. To be clear though, Andrew does not make a profit off of donations, if there are leftover donations after expenses they go into upgrades for the hardware.

+1 i would also like to see this. the town name i chose for my last town was taken so i had one assigned. Not a big deal but it would be nice to be able to change it. I would donate $10 for it.

And it used to cost ECC$, but it was taken out. Been said it would not be added back, though I don't know if having it as a donation feature was suggested at the time.
Week or two ago I was thinking about this suggestion, though I figured there could be a "Town Rejuvenation/Transfer" kind of donation feature. You get a town name change, option to transfer the town to another user, and option to rejuvenate the town (assuming that application is still available, due to the worldedit problems recently). I don't know what the price would be, what would be optional/required, and what would be in the feature, but something like that would be nice.
..though, honestly, even just a town name change donation feature would make me a very happy kitty. xD;
