https://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/new-owner-jdawger-cantl_outside.205814/#post-1098060 This town that was placed recently isn't the correct dimensions. On the app, the coords are: Code: Post A: 7985 63 10778 Post B: 8185 70 10778 Post C: 8185 83 10978 Post D: 7985 63 10978 But when I do /rg i it states: I know it is 199x200, which is the difference of one spot, but the project requires towns to be next to each other. Edit: realized one of my signs was off. Surprised it was never mentioned on the app for being off. I checked, and it was one single sign that was off, making it not a complete rectangle/square. Every other sign was correct
Just providing information to how this probably happened. The GA only require two of the signs to select to actually form the cuboid that will become the town, it’s basically a 1in 4 chance that they selected the one sign that was off, hence why your town is off. You’re required to place four signs to make sure that the region is where you want it visually. And because there is no set system on which two posts they need to select as long as it forms the cuboid for town placement.
Thanks for the insight Clar. I would have assumed that the GA would've gone and checked the Coords of the app and the newly created town to see if they matched (esp since these signs I placed had the post letter and the coords listed on it as well).
The reason people are asked to place signs (besides the fact it makes it easier to process the app) is because sometimes the coords listed using F3 and the coords listed using /getpos are different, so the signs are the main indicator for where the user wants the town to be. This generally puts the responsibility of the signs being in the correct place on the user, as the GA cannot be sure if you were using F3 or /getpos to enter the coords onto the thread or sign, meaning 1 block disparities are possible. I will fix this town when I get online, unless @iSneaky or @UnitedStates2 wants to do it in the meantime. Are there any features in the town?
