This is true and you can not only sell the exp, but the fish too! Fishing is a lil slow going too though. I think everything just starting out is slow.
Just a word of advice but I would make sure if you don't have it already that your first purchase after a star tool is extcommands+/++ I'd really recommend it before a star tool but its easier to make the money after getting one.
Worth it yes, of course; however, it's not needed, it just takes a few seconds to eat something and a min or two to get an erep (and there is usually someone on doing it for free). Just like buying fly so you can use speed 4 to farm faster is worth it, but you can also just drink speed potions. Sure it's more convenient to have those features, but it's up to you if you want to spend the money.
I'd get /back, warp to a heal sign (or set home) and /back right to where you left off. More useful than feed imo. I use back 5x more than any other feature except erep.
I have to agree with @Nicit6, Extcommands+ is basically a need. ++ isn't that much of a need due to macro, but extcommands+ is almost a need. For /feed, it is very useful but you don't need it as much as you think, and @stigarose recommended a very good go around that you can also do with multihome+ and just setting a home when you leave, etc..
Not necessarily. You can either Fortune your ores (Using a fortune 3 pickaxe), or sell the ores directly to stations like Station17. So in my mind there are basically 3 options: 1. Fortune your ores (Diamond, Redstone, Lapis, Coal) and then smelt the others (Gold and Iron) in a furnace. Sell the Emerald Ore in the market (ex. Station17) since they can't be /sell 2. Fortune your ores (Diamond, Redstone, Lapis Coal), and then sell the other ores (Gold, Iron, Emerald) to the market (ex. Station17) 3. Sell all ores (Diamond, Redstone, Lapis Gold, Iron, Emerald, and Coal) to the market (Ex. Station17) EDIT: You can also /sell the cobblestone, which you *could* smelt but it isn't worth the $.05 more per block imo.
Just a random question though, but do star rods make a lot of money? Would you say they make around as much as a eff7 or melon sword or are they not worth it? I've never really tried fishing so I'm not sure.
They arent anywhere close to Eff7's and Melon Swords. or the Star Axe if you have the right setup. It is handy for things like gaining xp if you need the xp. But as a money making Star Tool. Its not the one you want to be looking at.
@zorracraft would probably be the person to know. A few months back, maybe more you could get 10-12k but that was before the new fishing patch/update on minecraft happened. So im not entirely sure now.
i havent fished in months but assuming nothing as changed around 13k-14k it realy depends on how you sell you exp, either players or market shops or make tools and sell those. you need alot less to make it work then a melon sword ie:a farm, speed and feed+, so its in a good spot, just keep in mind its equally boring as melon farming and you need 1k fishing mcmmo to make the most of it(you get more exp per fish) , If you need more info on other tools i will glady answer you
