It's probably because you are in the mining world and you can't lock things there. If you buy a plot in a town you should be able to lock chests then.

Try typing /ch auc in game then auctioning the item :)

To address your questions:
1. Sometimes I've had issues with the /c[lock type] command, but to make a private lock, you can just do /lock.
2. Type /ch auc to stop ignoring actions, this should help that problem.

Increment is how much the bid has to go up by every time. For example, if I did /auc apple 100 50, bids would have to go up in increments of at least 50 starting at $100.

 

It's a minimum of 10 for both the starting price and the increment.

 

Wouldn't it be /ch join auc?

 

Pretty much the same thing. /ch auc both joins the auction channel and you can then chat in it.

It mostly will do that if you can only or only have one home set. Try just /delhome :)

 

You can't /delhome until you get more than one, so you just have to do /sethome to replace the home.
