    I guess one could see it as a down side.

    However I see it as a major plus for the running of ECC, ECC needs a decent amount of steady income to keep it running and expanding as it is. And there are also people who dont have huge amounts of time to spend on ECC grinding away to make decent money, so selling features is a pretty good way to supplement this.
