Off the pictureque shores of Picon, lies The Tartarus. A towering monstrosity of broken arches and decaying railings, The Tartarus was built as an impenetrable fortress, and inescapable prison.Home to the worst criminals in the nation, The Tartarus is somewhere many would chose to avoid.

Unfortunately, it is also home to the one person who may have the answers I need.

Since it's construction, few people have tried to escape incarceration here. Any that did make it past the walls, were either recaptured, killed, or drowned in the icy waters of the bay.

It is said that no one has ever escaped The Tartarus, and no one ever will...
....fortunately for me, I only need to get inside.

After waiting days for my opportunity, I finally managed to stow away aboard a small fishing vessel delivering routine supplies. In my quest to get there however, I naively underestimated just how terrible the stench of fish would be during this journey. Numerous times the smell got so overwhelming that I genuinely considered asking them to turn around and take me back to the mainland, but I persevered.

Once I got inside on the other hand, it was relatively easy.
I'd 'coincidentally' befriended a guard who worked on the island a week earlier. He was only a young, scrawny boy, who looked like he was about to slip out of his oversized uniform at any moment, but he was kind. After some small encouragement - listening to my emotional story of how my 'husband' had been wrongfully imprisoned there - he reluctantly agreed to help me.

As we hurried down the dark, damp halls of the fortress, the excitement of the situation hit me. If I had been caught, I could have been imprisoned myself, or worse, but I had no time to worry about the consequences.

    We had arrived.

The rusty key turned in it's lock, and with a push, the heavy iron door creaked open.
There, in the centre of the cell, sat Prisoner 4026.

    Keon Greeley.
