The declaration of war

11:02 P.M. - Conference room, HQ. France, Union territory.

@Exilenela walked around in the room, the sounds of his boots on the parquet floor were the only audible sound in the room. @clou44, the second Union leader, was sitting at the large ebony table, lost in her thoughts.
Less than twenty minutes ago the news of a horrible defeat had reached them. The Union had maintained an outpost at the shore of the Pivillean Sea for a very long time. It had been one of their major naval bases which had allowed them to bring supply ships from the Union territory in the north to the battlefields of the southeast. When Quart has been in charge of the Pivillean Empire, he had tried to attack the base multiple times – without success.

Only a few days after @314 had become the leader of Piville again he had launched a massive assault against the naval base. With the force of a dozen P-2 tanks, five bombers, hundreds of parachute troopers and - @Exilenela felt sadness when he remembered – the Unova, @314 had destroyed great parts of the base and taken over the remains. @Exilenela himself had originally handed over the Unova to the Pivillean Empire. This was one of the many moments when he wondered how many mistakes he might have made in the past months...

However, they had not only lost their naval base, but @Jackson_G14 was also nearing France. The leader of the United Nations was a very powerful ally of @314. Every day his army came closer, every day @Exilenela and @clou44 lost valuable territory.

@Exilenela finally decided to break the silence.
“@clou44... do you really think it is a good idea to continue this war?”
@clou44 looked up.
“I... I don’t think so. Quart’s attacks have caused us to lose many of the Union’s capabilities. We lost troops... resources... territory... @314 is basically cleaning up behind Quart, cutting deep into our territory with a few well-planned and precise attacks. Also, he has the UN behind him. @Jackson_G14 is providing battleships, tanks, soldiers and even an aircraft carrier, all funded from UN assets.”
“Maybe”, @Exilenela began, “maybe it is finally time to accept @314’s peace-offering.”
@clou44 nodded and opened her laptop to initiate a video conference.


It took four seconds until @314 answered the call.
