There has never been such a thing as secure, anonymous and permanent storage on ECC. Go inactive, get banned or super-banned, or just take a long vacation from the game, and even the most admired, wealthy player can come back to find that their hard-earned money, resources and tools are gone -- towns claimed, balance wiped, back to square one.
If only there were a sanctuary for ECC treasure, a place that would remain safe for one's chests or storage signs, no matter what happens. Something like a Bank full of individual vaults marked only with numbers; in a town where no one but the owner has perms; owned by a player so wealthy he has no reason to steal from anyone; who owns enough towns to dedicate a big chunk of one to a project like this; with no LWCs until you are inactive for an entire year; and set up in such a way that not even the town owner can open the vaults.
If only . . . :)

Directions: /warp lancaster, turn right at bottom of the steps. Walk about 200 blocks, passing under giant sign that says "East." Bank is giant building on the right.
Or portal at towns5, redstone, stone, and walk east from the main square; same directions otherwise.


The Bank has been constructed by @jmichael214 personally, in his personal and private home town of Eastcaster, in which plots are no longer sold.


Just 150 blocks from Lancaster Square, /warp lancaster and a spawn portal, the Bank nonetheless is just over the line in the separate, private town of Eastcaster, where @jmichael214's personal vault is also located under his mansion.


Inside, three floors of individual vaults of various sizes. You won't get perms; no one will ever get perms. What you'll get is the right to lock the door of your vault to everyone, and the chests or signs inside it -- and leave them there forever. No, this will not be cheap.


What you're paying for is the security of knowing that those chests will stay there unmolested, until and unless you come back to open them.


We won't watch you fill the chests, and we won't mark the outside of your vault as belonging to you. The door can also be locked with one of @jmichael214's unlimited lwc's, with a /cmodify to you alone -- and you still lock the chests inside.


Instead, the record of your vault ownership will be kept in @jmichael214's Records Room in the Great Hall of the Bank, a room to which only he has the key.

Finally, secure, permanent and confidential storage for ECC wealth.
No loans, just vaults which you can buy for as long as ECC exists and the City of Lancaster stands.

RULES OF THE BANK OF LANCASTER
Read these before you apply!​

The Bank of Lancaster exists to provide safe, permanent and confidential storage for ECC wealth. To the extent that is allowed by the rules, the vaults we sell will never be opened to anyone but you. However, we are not a refuge for scammers -- a staff member making an appropriate request or using their own server abilities can always access a vault. We're out to provide a useful service -- not to enable scamming.

So, the rules:

1. You may only purchase one vault at a time. By purchasing it, you buy three rights -- (a) the right to have us place chests in the vault for you as requested; (b) the right to lock those chests: and (c) the right to lock the outer door of the vault, or have us lock it for you.
2. You will not get perms to the Town of Eastcaster. No exceptions will be made to this rule. Much of the security of this Bank is due to the rarity of Eastcaster perms -- if no one has perms, no one can grief the Bank.
3. Vaults may not be used to conceal the evidence or ill-gotten proceeds of scams. Violation of this rule will result in expulsion from the Bank.
4. The fact that you own a vault in the Bank will be kept confidential by the Bank, unless an official inquiry is made by staff conducting an official investigation. However, see Rule 5.
5. Staff will always be able to conduct appropriate investigations in Bank vaults, provided that they demonstrate to @jmichael214 that they are conducting an authorized investigation. Staff will not be given access to any vault without giving some proof that the inquiry is legitimate. The Bank has no authority, however, to obstruct a staff member acting within their authority.
6. Vaults are numbered and marked with signs locked by @jmichael214. Your vault number will be kept in the Records Room, which is locked and accessible only to @jmichael214. If you lose your vault number, contact @jmichael214 by forum /pm to do a check for you.
7. If you wish even greater privacy for your vault, the vault door can be locked with one of @jmichael214's unlimited lwc's with a /cmodify to you. If we do this, you trade @jmichael214's ability to enter the vault for greater privacy for you. This option is not available for chests, though -- you must lock chests with your own personal lwc's.
8. No vault will be entered solely because its owner is banned. Banned players' vaults will remain their property unless the owner goes inactive so long that other rules kick in (see below). The Bank will not open the vault of even a perma-banned player simply because they are banned.
9. Except as stated in Rule 9, all vaults will remain the locked property of their registered owners indefinitely. Your purchase of one of our vaults is a permanent purchase, not rent.
10. No vault will be opened or removed for any reason until its owner has been inactive for a minimum of ONE YEAR.
11. No vault will be opened or or turned over to an alternative account. We cannot deal with players trying to prove they are the same person, and we won't try. Therefore, our vaults are not a good option for trying to evade a ban, either. Keep that in mind.
12. All other server rules apply. We will have no control over anything the server may do to the contents of your chests.

PRICE LIST AND INSTRUCTIONS

Vault prices are specific to your needs, charged on an a la carte menu:

2 x 4 or 2 x 5 Vault: $3,000
5 x 5 Vault: $6,000
5 x 8 Vault: $10,000
$1,000 per double chest
$1,000 per @jmichael214 lock

Because vault-owners do not get perms, storage of trade signs is not possible. Sorry!

So, here a couple of examples:

Player # 1 just wants to safely store a melon sword. All she needs is a 2 x 4 vault with one chest. Price: $4,000.

Player # 2 stockpiles materials for his spawnshop, and is off a lot of the time. He wants safe storage for the high-dollar items he's accumulating. He gets a 5 x 8 with ten chests and room for more later. Price: $20,000.

These prices are for the outright purchase of the vault and chests, with removal only on ONE YEAR of inactivity. Please remember that we have no control over the server clearing inventories.​

 

Actually, I've been on an extended vacation from ECC, so this project went on hold without selling any vaults yet ... which I guess makes it the biggest EMPTY bank in ECC. :)
