It took me a good 10 minutes to realize what your suggesting. All i saw was a big jumble of mess. tbh the hunger games is almost near perfect the way it is and some of these changes are almost completely useless. Enchanting tables will be useless since you can't use them anymore. If they were allowed in sg then where are we gonna get exp and lapis at? Removing iron swords will make an ever bigger difference between not kit users and kit users. Bows were never added because the sg kits were supposed to give bows. Changing the sharp 2 sword to sharp 5 is probably the worst suggestion on here. From my past experience dealing with users that have had a sharp 2 sword, i almost never win. Its very easy to kill with a sharp 2 sword, a sharp 5 would be waaaay too overpowered. These are just some of the reasons i dislike this suggestion. -1.
You can get experience from fishing. I am removing iron swords, but adding them to be able to be crafted. Bows are craftable already. If you do the math, sharpness 5 is not overpowered when it comes to a stone sword.
A stone sword with Sharp 5 will do 11.25 damage. While a Diamond sword with no enchantments will only do 7 damage. The MIQ stone sword already does 0.5 more damage than a diamond one. Even the Sharp 4 wood sword that you suggested to come with CC will do 9 damage. This is simply making it harder on the newer users to win SG, not helping them like you say. Making it so harder to reach places generate better items can emphasize players to camp in certain places and wait for the chests to restock. Overall I have to give it a -1
no, there's a difference between hardcore economy and "let's make these kits SUPER INCREDIBLY POWERFUL" Kits are already powerful as it is, and honestly, most of what you're suggesting would WORSEN the game. Don't make the gap between kits and non-kits even bigger. By making armour and weaponry harder to obtain/rarer you give kit users an even bigger advantage. The advantage they have is already huge. Don't make it insanely massive.
Okay, so lets say we take out diamonds. Make It Quick and Complete Control stay the same. Lower Strength 2 to Strength 1 in Buffer. And add everything else that was on the suggestion. Would this be better?
The ONLY things I really agree with, are strength 2 to strength 1 and stone swords instead of gold swords. As for crafting iron swords, that just takes away from the fast pace games. And it would give kit users a bigger advantage. Having to find and use a crafting bench to get good weapons (iron ingots become way too rare) and making the good armour more rare (really rare, might I add) just slows people without instant kits down. I would be forced to buy an armour kit AND a weapon kit just so I at least stand a chance against people. What you're suggesting is just too big of a change, try smaller suggestions.
This reads as "Non-Kit users can do even better against Kit users, so I'm fixing that by making Kit users even more incredibly overpowered". I'm reading this whole suggestion as "SG games take too long, so I'm making that there's not really any fighting, just scavenging materials in the small hope you find a distracted kit user and can take his kits to win the game".
Please reread the suggestion. I updated many things making it a more comfortable adjustment for many users.
Actually, I'm going to go against that and agree with Lee. According to the youtuber, Antvenom (found the video when I was trying to improve my SG skill) chain and gold are equivalent. As for the suggestion, I don't want to be in SG for an hour to win 4k. I make that in 20 minutes mining. -1
+1 I only see net picking this overall is a interesting idea, you shouldn't shut down an idea because of a few small flaws. Sharp 5 is blah I agree that shouldn't be incorporated. However a way to enchant you own weapons is extremely interesting the ONLY reason I think players wouldn't want them is because they are scared of non-kitters having the chance to completely over power them. I have kits myself and let's be honest we start off with an advantage and it's unlikely the players will be alive long enough to rack up exp to make them selves a real threat. As for the changes in kits I do not have the ones he listed so I don't have the right to nerf or improve them ^~^ I won't give and opinion on something I don't have. So to recap nice idea I like diamond if they are very rare and enchanting but it's up to Andrew and he will probably make his own changes IF he decides to take this into consideration.
I'm not positive but I think that full chain is half an armor bar different than gold. It's just that they are so close together that it doesn't really make any difference.
