I did! And water - haha. Figured it was worth it... /eec functions like a backpack and erep is a must... it's my birthday weekend so I said screw it!... $115 usd birthday present lol. What freaked me out is when I was mining and all of the sudden, water stopped working... Didn't have access to my /eec either... Thought my account was jacked up... Then saw others were having similar issues... Now ECC is offline.
Another thing with stars which interesting and kinda fun to play is all the price jumps and falls with them. I know that personally, I made a pretty hefty amount by playing the netherstar market. There was certain activity going which indicated that the price of netherstars was about to skyrocket at the time so I went ahead and stocked up as many stars as I could while they were still cheap. Then I just waited a little bit and sure enough they jumped and I made some really good profit. This isnt meant to brag lol, I say this because you can view netherstars as an investment as well. The nstar market is similar to a real like economy in which it is heavily affected by supply and demand which I personally find very cool. Just thought id add that as another possibility
Farm, and gamble your earnings outside of lotto and hope for the best. Just what works for me personally..
What are all your thoughts on setting up xp grinders for xp/selling loot? Is it worth it in ECC to put the work in? I'm talking naturally spawning in the mineworld and setting up the grinder. Just curious to see what your opinions are on it
I don't think EXP grinders are worth it as current exp prices are abysmal. Exp is so cheap these days
Thanks for the tip! I was thinking about setting up a makeshift xp grinder, but doesn't seem the juice is worth the squeeze... Maybe on a lazy day though For those noobs who stumble across this, here is a great page I found in the ECC wiki: https://ecocitycraft.com/wiki/index.php?title=How_to_Make_Money_by_Mining ...a lot of basic info for those who have been playing MC a while, but some good for beginners and some good ECC specific tips for mining. Check it out!
Things are moving quicker on here for me than I thought they would! I am starting to consider placing a plot and applying for mayor... Any tips or suggestions when picking a plot? Any preference between Rising and Legacy? Is there one biome over another that is better to build a town? The cost is not small, so I wanted to see if there were some good suggestions out there I haven't considered yet. I look forward to reading your ideas!
Wow @bomberaz1 have you been busy! If you see me in game, I will help you pick a place for your town. I suggest rising because legacy is pretty torn up. Btw, congrats on resident and getting e repairs. I usually /pt fix all my food so I can fix my pick axe quickly. Just a tip. Keep going! Also, if you get pyro + I will rent my eff7 to you. I know you are worth trusting.
I suggest you make your town in Rising because legacy is very trashed up and it would be easier to flatten it out in Rising
@Sheep_mage thanks! I have been mining like a mad man the past several days. Rising it is! I'm out in the wild looking at different areas now. Feel free to join if you want. I'm off and on today because I'm home from work w/sick daughter. If I don't respond, that is why. I had to get e repairs... You have been kind enough to help me out, but at the rate I was mining, I would have been asking every 30 minutes lol. Thanks for the tips! I think pyro+ will be my next purchase, so I may take you up on that offer!
That makes a lot of sense. I'd hate to be falling in holes every few minutes - haha. Thanks for the reply and all of your help too.
There are viable town options in both Legacy and Rising. The oceans are mostly clear, in both worlds, since the task of placing dirt to cover over 200x200 of water is often a daunting one. But, that will give you a perfectly flat town without even more time sunk in to clearing it. Keep in mind the zoning laws, and that you can't place your town within 15 blocks of another without the permission of that town's mayor. However... if there is space to grow in that area, teaming up with another established town can help yours grow faster.
Oh, I need to find someone to buy all my mined stuff lol. Between my /bal and my mined materials, I'm sure I have the $85K needed for mayor. Would rather sell to a shop or someone who needs it instead of dumping off to the server. Anyone need redstone, lapz, coal, etc. or know someone who does? Thanks!
Very good advice! I have been eyeing this one area with a really cool above ground cave/crater, but there is a town somewhat close by. I could easily avoid it, but might talk to the owner to team up. Seems more like a fresh build, but still... It would be nice to have friendlies around
I'd post a thread regarding that, @KidD102402 - with that being said, I'm currently on hiatus before I start working on paying back a massive debt, and I also tore down your old house lately.. sorry, but I can't really help atm :/
