Sometimes it can take a long time before they look at these and decide to make some type of comment on if they will implement something like it or don't think it's a good idea. One time an amazing idea had to go on for like 20 pages of posts 98% in support before they finally made the change, and that was a very simple policy change as opposed to something more in depth like adding in a plugin that might need to be custom made.
I like this idea but it would probably be best for mojang to come out with a 'lava sponge' of their own so we won't have any confusion. +1 and -1.
