    Emeralds Useful For Once

    Suggestion:
    I am suggesting to make emeralds useful and because they are so rare and players buy them, why make it so they don't buy useless items?

    Reason:
    I am suggesting to make them used for tools, armor, and make them stronger than diamonds because they are so rare. If this would be implemented, this would be amazing!

    Other Information:
    Will be a cool, new experience that would be an interesting idea.

    I believe it would be a custom add-on :)

    I feel like the only reason this would be needed is to create a market for emeralds if one didnt exist. Personally, I dont have a problem with the emerald market they trade well even though they are just for decoration. This would be better for something like EXP IMO.

    I'm not sure if this is possible on Spigot, although I may be wrong. Even if it is possible, everyone would need to download a new texture pack for the new items which isn't realistic.

    There are servers that automatically switch you to a texture pack when you are playing and that texture pack would change nothing but let you have the new tools made of emeralds.

    So if you had a custom texture pack it wouldn't take it all away? Even if this is true you have the issue with it looking completely out of place.

    Emeralds already have a market, and players use them. Why fix something that isn't broken?

    It would make it so when players buy them, they just aren't buying for décor. They actually have a use

    They already have a use though - it's for decor the collector medals. The market is doing fine and prospering, so why should we be meddling with it? Not to mention, we shouldn't really be messing with vanilla mechanics...

    This can only be done by using a mod, as far as I know. This will be impractical for ECC.
