Minecraft Name:
Chundi_Jr
Suggestion:
My suggestion is to change the current zoning laws so that you can receive permission for a town placement by the current owner of a town, instead of the applicant/original owner.
- When placing a town, you must be at least 15 blocks away from any other town on all sides of your town
- The exception to this is if you receive a neighbouring town owner’s permission by means of them posting in your application thread, in which case you may place your towns within 15 blocks of their town. You must receive permission from every town owner that you are within 15 blocks of.
- The town owner giving permission must be the applicant owner of the town.
Reason:
I would like this rule changed because I have had to wait months for some of my towns to be placed just because the applicant owner has gone inactive/been banned.

+1 im sure chundi isnt the only who has to deal with this crap. if the rules allow sales of towns threw a simple verbal contract why cant it be as easy to add more towns by asking a current owner and not an original owner who has possibly quit ecc or has been banned with no intent to return?

And what if the original owner comes back and sees a town against his? I know I would be upset.

If the original owner sells the town I don't think they would care what happened to it.

If that's what you want to suggest then you should include that the original owner has a contract or something with the current owner. Because your suggestion isn't excluding my situation, where the owner simply left for a month or two and one of the co-owners removed him from the town.

I'd vote for this suggestion if the agreement requires a contract with the original owner concerning ownership rights.

I would support legal owners being able to establish zoning permission.
officially defined position of legal owner:
- Legal Owner: The owner of the town as defined by agreement (contract, in game agreement, etc.) with the Official Owner of the town.
- There can be more than one Legal Owner per town (2 equal owners for example). This must be clearly expressed in the agreement.
- A contract is by far the most reliable method of transferring legal ownership of a town and is the best way to prove that you are the Legal Owner.

- Legal Owner: The owner of the town as defined by agreement (contract, in game agreement, etc.) with the Official Owner of the town.

Willebrandt BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️What it the original owner is offline for 6 months or is not coming back? (PermaBanned). I'd support rules that make it so you can bypass zoning laws if the user is inactive for 6 months or PermaBanned.

Then you can claim the town. I don't want to change zoning rules to something super complex that doesn't apply in certain circumstances.

+1 I agree with legal owners having the authorization to give permission, but not 'current owners'. A provision of an agreement of some sort should be presented.

What about the people who sold their town for mayor and don't care anymore ?
-
I'm afraid there are cases of illegal town owners. Mayor becomes inactive, comayor kicks him out. Mayor comes back and not only does he have to deal with town ownership but neighbouring towns too? No sanks.
