[Suggestion] Youtube rank

I think that's a great idea and really well put together... until those last few words. People don't go on youtube to look for a channel designated to one server -- the ecc youtube channel. They're looking for people that just want to play the game.

We need those people on ECC. Youtubers play games and their fans flock to whatever they do; having them on ours would be a huge bonus, and it'd help them get a basic understanding of our server from the eyes of someone who plays for a bit, reducing the workload on staff/helpful players trying to help them out.

 

Getting professional youtubers requires either a very unique gamemode that the youtuber himself wants to play, or it requires payment.

And amateur youtubers shouldn't be considered for such a rank anyway. You want quality, not quantity. And quality includes having a lot of youtube views.

 

Unless by some chance, this big you-tuber happens to be an economy fanatic

 

There's nothing exciting about an economy server. The only way to get youtubers is by having minigames or general unique and exciting gameplay.

Okay, first of all. I may have writing a poem (Witch I was not trying to do, I was asking honest questions.) it does not matter, I was only stating my opinion. And honestly, calling someone you don't even know a lair is rude, especially with no evidence. Second, it is exciting for me because I like the fact that I can farm and but ores with the money I got from farming, I like the community (from ecc), I like the idea of having towns... I could keep going on, but I feel this is sufficient.

 

Giving individuals a rank or status symbol would enable players to have an elitist attitude. Kids will expect special treatment because they make short, boring, low-quality videos that nobody watches.

If we want to expand server publicity to YouTube, we should assemble a team of creative and experienced players and staff to manage a single server channel, similar to how the server wiki works. Players can have a forum tag that says "YouTube Team Member" but there's no need for more recognition than that.

 

Sure. If the youtuber has over 250k subscribers, I'll be fine with giving them a free rankup or something.
No tag. Nothing to make them special.
