one i make 18k hr with an eff 4 unbrk 3 silk pick on melons thats with normal walk speed
two yes you could make around 20k an hour from wheat but it takes about 30sec to one min depends if you chatting or not to replant one floor and 10sec to get to another floor so if you have 45 chunks it will take you over 25min to replant seeds then wait another 30min or so before harvesting

so actually its 10k an hour
which is not much
i tried the manuall way then i changed since i did not get alot of money from wheat

so wheat is actually by far the lowest cash crop

im just fuming everytime i see a post saying yea you make 20k an hour and dont think about the replacement time and the growing time.
just like rockdassie was talking about. yea it can make you 20k in a hour but to replace 45 floors of 16x16 will take you around 30min and 30min while afk or more to make it grow.

so you make more cash from pumps and melons then you do with wheat just as simple as that.

 

Reading comprehension: 1/10.

Wheat income includes replanting and floor transitions. If you're making less you're doing it wrong. Grow time on a properly built farm is not a factor. If you're having to AFK, you built your farm wrong.

 

Evidently someone is watching this thread. Wheat prices were just nerfed. New maximum income should be just over ~$17k.

Assumptions:
I harvest, replant, and move to a new floor on a 32x32 light-harvested wheat farm in 5 minutes 20 seconds. That yields an hourly income of $14.4k (1008 wheat per clear * 11.25 clears / hr * $1.25). Now seeds: 1.5 seeds per wheat @ 11.25 clears per hour yields ~5.5k unused seeds * $0.50 equals $2.8k. Thus $17.2k.

Wheat is now in line with other crops.

but yea when i did it it was correct i made 24k every 2hrs still not going to change my mind with your false calculations with melons i made 20k/hr with norm walk speed and eff 4 unbrk 3 silk so melons is the best crop by far then pumps then wheat. sorry to burst your bubble

 

I think wheat should be raised to $50 each
