I think that this is a very good idea, but I would personally have it as Mayor+. I think Mayor+ should get water placement privilege because many towns need and have water. Mayors having to pay hundreds or thousands or dollars to have someone place water for a farm. And plus, a resident is more likely to use water for the bad rather than the good. +1
What's the issue with just allowing everyone the ability to place water? No refunds for people. The person who donated is still supporting the server by donating the $15 or whatever...
@Vintage_Gamer ^^^^ Because you paid for a service and then that service no longer needs to be paid for, making the $15 you spent a donation, and it would be given back in the form of a coupon code, so it would be re-donated back to the server
The $15 is still with the server. If people really cared about ECC they wouldn't mind giving up a simple feature to improve the gameplay of others.

-1, it's fine as it is. Changing a system that worked out for years now just doesn't make sense. There are always have to be players with water online ready to help you.

Here is how it should work for people that donated for it I myself would want a coupon code because i donated over 1200 for other features It should be U get a Month to request a coupon code after that Owell.
I agree with that. However dunno if it's possibly, maybe jamie could do it , but we could possibly like send mail to each person with the water feature and require them to forum pm a SA+ to with sufficient proof that they have the feature (not just the mail, but other things, such as verifying that the mail came to the said user).
Maybe instead of making it rank based in the sense that residents+ or mayors+ can place water it could be its own rank, with its own application, and a cost thats enough to show that you have spent a decent amount of time on the server (maybe 50k for example) so grief still won't be rampant. +1 after buying the water feature I realized I don't need it. Nor do I need the + version. Not quite like I need pyro+. As for what vintage said about supporting the server. I don't mind supporting the server as I play here everyday. But there are people who use ecd to pay for these features. whether its because they cant pay with usd because they don't have it or they just don't want to spend real life money
Honestly, where you run into the big problem is that whole refunding aspect. I wouldn't mind losing a $15 feature, but I would guess you'd have the handful of people who have been scammed out the ears as time has passed looking for their feature and wanting refunds. I wouldn't care either way, but I am in agreement with a change in how water works. One stipulation: no Mods+ only. That's too much work to add on to moderating. Laying 200-long rows of ice as a Moderator wouldn't exactly be beneficial at all... :/
I have seen TONS of builders leave because of no water who wants to wait for someone to do it for you.
