So why are item frames banned? for example at the Canceron World Festival , having item frames to hold maps of the fair grounds would be nice , and for shops item frames could be above the item your sellling with that item your selling would be above so you know exactly what there selling

As far as I know they were disabled because they cause large amounts of lag since people used so many of them at the market.

I believe they are disabled due to some bugs that could lead to duplication/lag, so for this reason, I doubt they will be re enabled.

Not sure about the ranks thing, as people would still place them and the would still create lag, and idk how complicated it would be to code in that you can only have 12 placed at one time. And like I previously said, I believe there are dupe glitches caused by them

The official reason that they are banned is because they can be used for exploits. Either Jamie or Andrew has stated that they will never be enabled again (unless of course the exploits are fixed, and even then there are still issues with having them on the server)
