This is so that people have an incentive to buy original towns.

You're suggesting to remove one of the largest money dumps on the server, which is a pretty silly idea. Why do you think people apply for town transfers and claims(sometimes)? They're to gain original ownership of the town! Why do you think people pay for additional town applications, especially when you can buy a new town for a fraction of the price? Because they can have original ownership of the new town. It's literally all about incentives for money dumps. And with those incentives removed, then what do you think will happen? Do you think people will just go around paying extra for additional town applications and town transfers and waste their town claims on towns they already own for the good of the server? No! That isn't how things work - People could care less about what the server needs; they file these applications out of self-interest. And with incentives to file these applications removed, what do you think is going to happen next? Nobody will file these applications! NOBODY! Now you have three applications which take millions out of the economy rendered useless.

And it doesn't stop there either! With potentially millions of dollars worth of money staying in the economy, then what do you think is going to happen? People will probably spend that money, causing inflation and distorting the balance of the economy. You can't have a balanced economy when you have prices spiraling out of control. There's a reason why money dumps exist; To take money out of the economy to maintain a healthy balance by preventing inflation.

So yeah, no. Bad idea.

They're called CO-owners for a reason. Not the original.
Same reason Andrew (Founder) has more power than ClarenitPhoenix (GA). Andrew created the server, thus he is entitled to more rights.

He's suggesting to have legal owners be able to apply for town applications, not co-owners.

 

90% of the time that's the same thing (i.e. Contract was signed).

Kinda dumb IMO, you're just forcing someone to likely have someone else claim their own town if they want to expand it.

 

+ 1 (as long as it has been 6 mos). Absolutely nothing should stand in the way of ecc becoming less of an annoying money sink ghost town. In fact this stuff should be encouraged. I wanna play on a server not a museum.

 

Why can't they permit town claims for President+ instead of tycoon+? I don't mind paying the 250k for a town claim but I kinda wish I could do it now (I'm a mayor). I see the importance of the rank up system too which is why I didn't suggest allowing Mayor+ to apply for town claims, or possibly allow mayor 1 town claim, president 1-2 town claims, etc. It's still a money dump and people will still have to rank up to get more. I agree with the suggestion mostly. +1
