These suggestions always seem to pop in and around the opening/closing of staff apps. I personally don't think any of those are needed because our staff team already does a fantastic job at doing them. -1

 

but think, how many users have teamspeak, want to moderate, and arent to busy to do it. not many.

 

Based off of that response, it goes to show that our staff team is able to handle it. Also, they can moderate teamspeak by talking and doing apps by typing. I feel our staff team doesn't need another section currently.

 

-1 Teams dedicated to individual things are not needed. Time and place (being in-game) are not the problem. The problem (with TS3) is the community/the users. TS3 moderating can only get better if the users actually allow it to happen. (When Staff are available and hear the rule breakers, they handle it fine. And there are enough on TS3.)

Last time I was Staff, users either fled or shut up when I joined a TS3 channel they were in. Even if they were not [usually] troublemakers. I have never been known to be a dictator, mean, harsh/strict with rules, etc - people always liked to chat with me, or simply did not mind my presence. This goes for the entire past three years ... except all of the times I was on Staff. (To this day, I can join a TS3 channel with no moderators, and people are breaking rules left and right. Once anyone with a blue, orange, or red tag joins, though...)

Before I got Staff the last time, I could be in channels. Users were users, people were people. The INSTANT I got Moderator again, people - including friends - fled or went quiet. The majority of Staff members face this problem, because users like to break rules or not worry about accidentally breaking rules. Often the Staff who do not face this problem (that I have noticed over time), are the very, very lenient ones or the ones that are "BRB."

Many Staff are not on TS3 or actively participating in channels because they simply... can't... The ones that are on hide away in the Staff channels are generally available by PM and Poking. Unfortunately, even when they are available and immediately come to help, a few people will still flee, go silent, or start causing trouble elsewhere. And, more unfortunately, it is "illegal" to get proof of people breaking rules (at least, last I checked, you have to have permission for recording a user). :/

There are exceptions, where users do not flee or go silent... But I usually only see it with GA+ because they are super-fabulous celebrities. :b

Its not ingame, you dont need a tag. Even if this was to happen, they should just get a little green symbol or something next to their name. But yes it is the moderator's job to moderate teamspeak as well.

 

I've had issues in teamspeak before but a quick pm in-game to a moderator usually ends up with the situation being addressed in a timely fashion. This is usually rare and staff is on teamspeak enough where it's not complete chaos. You don't need to feel bad for asking staff for help with issues beyond your control. Like Softly said above, it's part of their job as a staff member.
