Helper-like "moderator" ranks rarely work out well, and usually only have such little authority that no one listens to them, and they only get kick and mute. We don't even have mute, as it doesn't work... Trying to keep up with Helper-like ranks would actually give us more work, too; if it's to see how you'd do a s moderator, we need to watch you and help you... It kind of just makes more work. :b

 

We used to have three staff ranks, but we went back to two for various reasons. Mainly, it was simpler, easier, and less confusing to new users.

For the sake of keeping things simple and easy for everyone, I think it should stay how it is. I see why someone might want a helper rank and see it's benefits, but there are a few downsides as well that it's better to just keep it how it is in my opinion.

Assistant and senior got removed because they were not needed and it gave super mods and andrew more work to watch over them

 

We never had four... It was called assistant mod, then changed to moderator. They never co-existed at the same time. lol.
