Let's say this sign has repairs for 1,000 and the price of player repairs is 0-200 (usually) to justify not getting ext commands + (600k) you would need to get 600 repairs from the sign to break even, while needing 3000 to justify (max) with other players. The choice is easy to see, most players would go for the 0-200. if they're worried about a scammer they can ask a mod or ask around for a trusted player to buy from. Also, people say there would be less traffic to the purchasing of ext commands+, I believe this is not true. Feed is a donation feature I cherish, but in reality it takes me maybe 10 seconds to eat, but it's all about convince, people don't want to wait around for ereps or have to go to the sign at spawn, they will continue to buy the feature, IMO.
Lol feed is the 2ed most useless command after /ci And still don't want the sign there little enough integration as it is Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'd have to agree with _TANSTAAFL. If something like this were to be implemented, I would not like to see the price any lower than $2k per tool. I also feel that having a cooldown on it would allow it to be used for emergency repairs only. On the other hand, I do see why it could potentially have a downfall for the server. If someone needs an emergency repair, and they are unable to do so, that would potentially stop them from making money. That isn't a bad thing for the server as money is continuously flowing into the economy.
This is a dumb idea for one it would make /repair useless so no one would buy the feature and then the people that have it includeing myself would have no money making potential. This is the most expensive feature so I don't think andrew would like to lose a $100 feature that a lot of people want or have. ~Mega
What if players could place these [Repair] signs - those with extcommands+. They can set a price in it still and they can use it in their towns for residents and such. That is my 2 cents. so +1/-1
someone creates 1 that takes no money, people set a home there, suddenly a free 100% trustworthy place to do your repairs. also saving you a lot of time in the long run.
The user creating the repair signs has already been suggested in this thread. You should probably read the other comments before posting something of similar nature.
No because it takes away reason to pay $100 for the extracommands+ donation. The server needs funds to continue.
I don't think this wood de value the donation feature at all. It's a connivence thing. Say I was mining at a low y value and have to repair my pick. It would be a huge hassle to go to spawn, repair the tool, and dig yourself back down and get mining again. The benefit to the feature would still remain to do the repair for free with a simple command.
First off, here's what I think. 2.5k per repair, cooldown is once per hour, so it would be this as cons/pros for extcommands+. Pros for extcommands+ if my idea was added, (above) - No cooldown, free repairs - Don't have to be scared when getting repairs (no trust) - Don't have to stop what you're doing for repairs, just do /fix and it's done. Cons -Paying $100 (basically it ._.)
I would like to see this added to ExtCommands+. (As stated in a few threads before). I do agree with some of the cons. Such as some one may put up a "Free" sign. But, with that being said. There are multiple "trusted" People in the server already offering this "service" for free. It is an ecomony server, and this is a risk that one would take. Example: Cooking pots, go for arround 3000 ea. For town members I offer these free (including Unlimited Refills). In a ecomony server. People will always try to under sell everyone else, until it reaches a point that the profit = expenses. This is already taking place with items that are not introduced by purchasing packages. For example. Quartz was (last time i checked) 4$ per block. Yet people are selling it for arround 10$. I can come along and set up a sign that sells for 8$ and still make a profit. Possible Solution: Only allow these signs to be placed and used in regions that you have access to. For example this sign could not be placed in the wild or in the spawn stores. Another Example, I would not be allowed to use a sign placed in "Bobby's" town because i do not have access to his region. This is just my humble opnion. I am in no way saying that ethier party is wrong.
I suggest adding a limit system, I have seen a mod that allows you to only click a sign once per 24hours, make it 500$ every 24hours or make it an extcreations ++ feature all problems fixed... you're welcome.
Everything you said has been suggested already, one way or another. You should probably read the other posts before commenting.
