Minecraft Name: Purrguin
Suggestion: Spawn Local Chat Regulation
Reason: Because it's extremely confusing and annoying to be in spawn, with people shouting at each other non stop in other languages other than english.
Any Other Information: I Know the rules state nothing but english in global chat, but being in the spawn is rather the same thing as most people hang out at the spawn, mods/other players ext. It makes it hard for mods to see the other chats and do their jobs when there's a mass wall of non-english text knocking away everything else.

What is the difference between a wall of English only local chat and a wall of mixed language local chat? Makes no sense to me. I do understand the need to be able to moderate the local spawn chat though so.....idk.

The Difference is, the moderators moderate the spawn, and are able to see insults, bad language in english, however if they are speaking in another language, they could be insulting people, cursing at them and or advertising other servers in a language the mods don't understand, thus impeding them from doing their job.

its the exact same thing wtih a different name, and (I don't think) we would be able to force people into it based on location.
as to the suggestion itself, I have not noticed many foreign languages in spawn so far actually. however, in the case that they are using offensive words in another language, i personally think that unless someone else in the area notices (i.e. they speak the language as well) it isn't much of a problem. if anyone does notcie this, please inform any online mod, so that we may take appropriate action. most likely, go to google translate and confirm :p followed by action based on the severity of the words and whether they are using it a lot/directing it at another player. However, in most cases it will be gibberish to most if not all players in spawn, and it will not cause any issues.
This is of course up to Andrew however, and he may wish to make a new rule about it. -

mc.ecocitycraft.com is a gateway to another ip
you can see if you open command promp and type ping mc.ecocitycraft.com -
I Know that, what I mean is that not all advertising will come off as just numbers, advertising can be done without saying the actual IP Address, and giving server name/sites what not.

yes. this is true. however, they would still need to either
A. put the dots in, for example mc.deutschcraft.de
B. or do something like mc punkt deutchsraft punkt de
where punkt means dot (literally point). and in this case, the repitition of the word (minimum four for a number IP and two for a word IP) would be indicative of the IP address. IMO the advertising argument is moot. along with this, even if they managed to advertise in a foreign language, only a very select group would be able to understand it, they would most likely be spamming (another way for us to notice and take appropriate action), not to mention that group would need to be at spawn, which is even less probable.
However, if any of you do see advertising in a foreign language you recognize, please alert any online moderators tot he situation and we will take care of it.
