The point of shouts is that they can't be ignored. People wouldn't pay the 1k for shouts if they know they can be ignored.

 

As I have suggested before, and as andrew would say, no

 

You can ignore them and everything else

ESC - Options - Multiplayer Settings - Chat (click until you see "Hidden")

Instead of a command to turn them off, suggest a "cool down" period like TP has, but for shouts. Then again, if people want to spend $1,000 on a shout at a rapid rate, let them.

 

The point of shouting is to be heard... This defeats that point. Why would I pay $1,000 for something half the server might have ignored.

 

It isn't that bad I found a way before how to remove it or something but I reset minecraft and forgot ._.

 

Hypothetically, if you block someone and they buy a shout, do you still see it? Just wondering, I haven't /ignore'd anyone... yet. :p

 

It will not block the shout.

You see, shouts are BOUGHT for people to see them. Unless shouts are spammed, they are hardly a nuisance. I don't see why you can't handle them. They are good way for money to get taken out of the economy, and are useful for seeing advertisements and such.

 

-1, you pay 1k for a shout so everyone hears it. it is really easy to ignore some stuff. i.e. The vote reminder, it c0mes up every 2 minutes or so. I can't remember the last time I paid attention to it.
