why should there be an enderchest at the spawn?

That's all you need, we don't need an enderchest at spawn. (what's the use anyway?)

 

Actually... I see why he would want one at spawn. Maybe several actually.

What if you wanted to buy a lot of items from the server stores and wanted to take them back to your place twice as quick? Well, you would have an enderchest there to put some in then buy more. From there, you can transfer everything from your inventory and the enderchest that's at your house to another chest and do it again if needed.

Or maybe you want to go PvP at the PvP arena but you didn't bring your gear. Well, it's right there in that handy enderchest!

I can also see people wanting to play the snipe game when it starts but their inventory is full and they cannot wait the teleport time to get back... Hmm, an enderchest... I'll just drop some stuff in there.

There are probably other uses too. Just think about it.

I actually support this suggestion. Enderchests cannot be placed at spawn so telling people to use /kit enderchest is pointless. :|


Also, my own suggestion. I figure I might as well post this here instead of making a new thread.

Can "/kit enderchest" give you two enderchests with a 48 hour cooldown instead of 1 enderchest and a 24 hour cooldown?
Reason being that having only one enderchest is pretty much useless seeing as the entire point of them is to have them all have the same contents. Might as well give me two, and to stop me from mass producing them, just double the time.

 

The problem here is stealing from someone's enderchest. You can't lock them, can you? Plus we would have to have TONS of them at spawn. Other than that I am a go.

 

You can't steal from enderchests, they are unique per person.
