This isn't Canada. We don't give people hockey tickets because they followed the speed limit.

 

Well darn, if we start rewarding people for following the rules, I'm due for a very large reward.

 

What kind of rewards? If it was money, this is just throwing money into the economy, which is what Andrew doesn't want. Rules are supposed to followed at all times, I don't why it's so hard to do that. We are rewarded with playing on the server for following the rules, that's plenty reward for me.

 

Oh don't get me wrong, I'd love it. But it's the fact that you should be following the server rules because it's the right thing to do, not because you get material reward for it.

 

I have been taking an economic course at my university. Harryhaz1 is absolutely right. If you want to deter a behavior you do it in two ways: one you increase the cost of the behavior - you have already done this with bans, etc... The other is to provide substitutes at a lower cost, in effect making the initial cost more costly. In this way you can generate a proper response.

 

This plugin simply tells a person to accept the rules and they get a reward, that's all.
There is no reward for actually following the rules, just for accepting them, therefore this plugin is completely useless.

 

In that case it may not be all that useful... maybe a reward system tied to a reputation system somehow...
