[Suggestion] Restoring /kit buffer.

You obviously didn't read the original post.. Mojang changed the way the strength potion actually buffed your damage and as a result buffer became even more powerful than it was originally intended to be when the kit was added. Changing to str1 would revert the kit to what it was when it was released.

I don't see why this hasn't been done already. It's the same situation as when mojang changed the way axes worked on melons, making melon swords useless (until it was fixed of course)

 

I still want my overkill kit ya know!

 

Look at my chart in my previous post. It's still pretty powerful. In fact str1 does the exact same damage as str2 if you perform a critical which isn't too hard to do.

 

But... but... that takes more skill! (Which i have 0%, no secret here.) And the need for critical hit lessens the guarantee of kill, which is money.

 

Survival games is susposed to be skillful, If your not good, which you have just said, you shouldnt have a change of winning...

 

Then what is the point of kits? They are to make you win!

 

Kits are supposed to give an advantage.
Advantage does not equal invulnerability because nobody else has the chance to hit you. Kits should help support the skill one has, but not be a replacement for it.

 

Thats sad, very sad. If they nerf it well. The problem is that my buffer doesnt even help enough cuz i always get buffered first. Its rly who get the first short. So that will ruin all my chances.

 

You say that buffer doesn't help you because you get buffered first. Then you say that changing it so first shot isn't as significant as before is a bad thing? Surely if you get one-shot less, you would be able to make use of your buffer more than you do now? A little contradictory..

 

Nah id like to have who gets the first shot, so if i do get it i get the kill. It has evolved into a gamble for me.

This definitely should be implemented, Strength II pots are insta-kills, even with full iron armor. At least Strength I pots will give users a chance to defend themselves against Buffer.

I don't see why there's any discussion with this. You're essentially getting what you paid for in the first place. I'm going to have to say I have a firm +1 on this.

 

Kits are supposed to be an advantage, but buffer players are so op that they are constantly called hackers by builders. Shouldn't that mean right there that it should be nerfed? Buffer is such a big advantage it is more of a guaranteed win (if no one else has buffer) than an advantage.

+1. Definitely. Buffer should be an advantage, but not a guaranteed win.
