I suggested this a long, long time ago and Andrew shot it down himself. So I don't feel this idea would go much further now. I'm not opposed to the idea, just saying that not to get your hopes up on this one. Link to my old post.

 

problem i see with is is the price of E-repairs would drop even lower than they are due to fact nothing is needed to be done by the person with the donation other than collect money when they bored
E-repairs already need to go up in price due to fact its a $100 donation like investigator but you get 1k for that not 200-300 for e-repairs

Eh, i don't like it. Andrew made a good point last time, and it's still a good point this time.

 

all it takes is one person to put up a sign for a penny in their spawn shop and e-repairs become impossible to sell. And someone would do it.

this takes all the fun out of the repairs industry, the awkward tossing off tools back and forth, besides there are those people who give their services away for free *shudder*, I can see the price drop to below $1 a repair due to them if this were implemented (Not a good thing in my eyes).
Besides I get to meet lots of people while doing this and interact with the wider community whilst doing this honed ecc ritual. While capitalising off of them of course.

And trade signs would really kill market.. As it is price need to raise to like 400-500.. People forget its a $100 donation like investigator but investigator gets 1k each

 

well to be fair on that, you do tend to get a lot more repairs coming your way than requests for investigators. That and it has a lot more practical and personal use than investigator. I charge $1000 for anvil combos and a player might want a half-dozen tools to be repaired, two often occurring scenarios that can rake you in the big bucks while investigators have less business. Also you do get that little tool box of commands that are nice to have, I wuv my powertool. But then I do forget the things in the investigator's arsenal.

 

WAIT a moment here! you mean with the extra commands donation you can create a sign that you can left/right click then it will repair any enchanted item in your hand/all?

Also, this is sort of non relating, but there is lots of mentioning of signs in this thread, can somebody tell me what you put on the four layers of the sign to sell and to buy items with a sign. I'm SOOO confused on how you can use the signs, Thanks a lot!

 

I see a problem with this, say someone wants to quit, so they put hundreds of FREE/ $.01 e-repairs :/
