Minecraft Name: Texas_Bulldog Suggestion: Remove treasure from fishing (All the crappy leather armor and wood tools, etc.) Reason: They have no value and negatively affect fishing. Star rods continue to drop in value due to the lack of people who use them because they are not a good and viable way to earn ecd. Without "treasure" people would make more money off of fishing while keeping the value of the fish the same which would ultimately solve the issue of raising prices for fish. On top of all this the higher fishing level you have the more junk (treasure) you get resulting in even less fish. Any Other Information: N/A
I would assume that a player that has been on the forums here for almost 4 years would have seen the hundreds, if not thousands, of posts discussing just this. The search bar can be your friend If you don't like the junk...err treasure, simply set your inventory to only collect fish... and instant increase in profit!
Yes please. Everything that is useful to fish out is removed, and everything else is just junk The problem isn't that you collect it, it's that the item replaces the fish. And honestly yeah, every time I see a fishing suggestion, I roll my eyes and laugh. One can only dream, though...
No shit sherlock, it's still a huge waste of time when you think about it, every catch could be $30 or $50 depending on the fish but instead its worthless. you'd make more money per catch if the junk was removed. as for this suggestion being made before, you know what they say, "The squeaky wheel gets the grease"
+1 The current treasure system is broken. Only trash is ever fished up. Players are penalized instead of rewarded for commitment and a higher MCMMO skill level.
If 'treasure' cannot be removed, perhaps find some way to code it so that you also get a plain fish at the same time. We had this once, and I'm not entirely sure why it went away. I've been smelting the iron/gold stuff, even enchanted, to make nuggets, and thus make ingots, but it is time consuming. Wooden tools can be used as furnace fuel for this purpose if nothing else is available.
Agreed. If you could somehow change the treasures or give a lower chance of getting them then it would be so much better. I also suggest adding some of the StarCasino rewards to MCMMO.
I once got a fortune pickaxe from fishing. But that’s like 1 in a 100000, or something like that. (It’s a hyperbole, just deal with it) but there are some unnecessary things that might need to be removed....
-1 Since we already get a good amount of money by fishes we can just throw away the treasures we don't actually need, otherwise if the treasures are changed we could produce a lot more of money for not that much work. Also the crappy stuff is useful for some players.
This is already true for players with low fishing MCMMO. It isn't a suggestion to buff fishing; it is a suggestion to stabilize the income. -1 To both of these. This isn't about increasing the income from fishing. Also, why would fishing get special rewards unlike every other money making method?
/smeltall|/cnd bind it to a key with macromod. You have $1000+ features, I am certain you must have these.
I wouldn't use /smeltall while I'm actively fishing as I have no need to cook the fish (/feed+ ftw). I could do it, certainly, but there is no point to that. There is also the bug where armor you are wearing can get smelted, too, so that is even more reason to avoid such automation. The time consuming bit also includes turning the nuggets in to ingots. And it doesn't negate the lack of fish, thus lack of profit, that comes from getting 'treasure' instead of fish.
