Also, lets say this suggestion gets accepted and the Nether world is reduced. What happens when the hub comes out, ecc is once again very popular, and the now small Nether world is mined out in a couple of days? You will probably be making another suggestion asking for the Nether world to be made larger. Just a reason why we should wait until the hub is released.
I agree, but I seriously doubt the hub will be coming out any time soon, not even this year, so possibly a test run is in store, see the results, the revert to the current specs before the hub is initiated. That seems like the best solution.
-5679 I mean sure, there is barely anyone who actually goes to the nether, but then quarts would go up in price, break the economy, and then the hamster will get to tired of running the nether and ecc explodes and we have a funeral and @DevotedToSatan cries at the 1D concert.
Thinking out loud here.. Keep the Nether the same size Limit EXP in the Mining worth to about 1/4 - 1/3rd of what it currently is Enable EXP in the Nether at the current rate as in the mining world. This would have the benefit of potentially increasing the risk of fortuning should you choose to do it in the nether, but you get greater rewards for the risk. This would lead to increase use of the nether, and also may help the EXP market as some people would not take the risk. Additionally, by leaving some EXP turned on the mining world you enable newer players the ability to get some exp to get better tools etc without making it very easy to get th large amounts to get max tools etc.
I 100% agree with making nether an exp hotspot; giving it a role . Along with that nether is in theory riskier then mining world so it goes along with the fact the economy needs risk. I can tell you right now though if you're 500 blocks outside of spawn, you will not be found in less than an hour (that's if someone will even just look for an hour). Of course though more people will be in the nether with this change so I think a large size reduction would be to much, but I think that's something that should be played with.
I thinks size reduction would be good, it will make Quartz more scarce, causing more people to go into the nether and get what remains. Exp should be added as well, just not a ton, a little per block
+1 I go into the Nether quite constantly and The amount of players in the nether at one time has barely reached two-digits recently. I'm up for anything to make the nether more popular.
Grats on posting ECC's 700,000th forum message! As for the actual suggestion though... +1, the nether is quite boring nowadays, and the fact that I can bring a max silk pick and max sword and not have to worry about being killed and losing it.... Probably isn't a good sign. Even though we'd only be chopping off the outer 1000 blocks of the nether on each side, which not many people probably visit.... We do need something to encourage more people to enter the cauldron of the Nether.
-1 why not just ask for the coords of someone in nether, fly to them and kill them just like you did. Calling people pansies meanwhile he is one
