I like the idea of having a rating feature but I don't think it is fair to take away someone's town over bad ratings. Some towns have odd rules but it your responsibility as a buyer to know the rules before buying any plots.
He never said that we should take away towns because of bad ratings. He said that Mayors who kick plot owners out of the town for giving him a bad rating should be punished.
I didn't say thats what he said. I'm just putting it out there. Aren't mayors allowed to have their odd rules? Like in my town we aren't allowed to have cobble or dirt houses.
btw its from the server rules : " Clause IV: Seizure of Property Mayors have the right to remove anyone from their town at any point, regardless of reason, without the need for a refund of the cost of the plot, as long as the following criteria are met: Sufficient warning is given ahead of time (a minimum of three days required) The user in question is given time to move their items from the town in question However, under circumstances where a serious breaching of the rules has occurred, such as in the instance of grief, the user is banned from the server or alternatively the mayor has expressly specified (proof of which will be required), the above criteria need not be met."
"Mayors with poor rating on Ratemymayor will lose their town." I don't see that in there, but that's what you said.
I take it you meant if he takes action against bad ratings. I think it is harsh, and maybe if a Co-Mayor can appeal against town seizure it can still work...yeah, I'll change it tomorrow. Also, the whole point of RateMyMayor is to know your town's rules and how towns are like before buying a plot.
It is anonymous, unless the name is added into the comments by the one rating as a form of signature. E.g: "Stay cool! - George"
