People would just stay out of the mining world until pvp is disabled. This wouldn't really accomplish much.

 

It would be unmined land. More resources.

 

I believe @OhMrsKittyKat was talking about the PvP aspect more so than the mining. But you're correct, it would be good to collect resources during this time as a lot of people would not be willing to risk their expensive tools.

If it is in another world separate from the current mining world, sure. If it's turning our current mining world into a PvP mining world, then no. I would like to see mineruns come back though.

I rather just have pvp enabled all the time in mining world. We are too focused on the money making (because this is an economy server) we neglect the survival aspect of minecraft. But of course that's just me. Many people disagree for other reasons.

 

Stolio is not a SA anymore. His staff member banner disappeared. We only have clou and dewsy as SA's and phys as SA+.

Btw, what is a minerun exactly?

 

From what I remember, it goes like this. Andrew or whoever is running the minerun TP's the entire server to the minerun area. PvP is disabled while everyone is coming in. Once they count down to whatever, PvP is reenabled, and you fight to the death while trying to find valuables. From what I remember, there was a bedrock flooring, but, there were like double ores and stuff. It was a lot of fun. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The arena was as big as you wanted it to be. It was all over the entire mining world.

I didn't mean for TP's. I meant that they request you to come and you can decline the request. I believe you can /home as well.

Andrew tp'ed everyone (optional) to an arena somewhere in the wild. Then, he used world edit to change the floor into ores/blocks. You could choose to mine, or kill the people that were mining. It's all ores/blocks, nothing else.
