dork1877, it may be a bit of a defeatist attitude lol. But, to be fair I see grief all the time. A good portion of my job is grief reports. Also, I know of players who grief even when told its illegal, even when told to stop. I've seen well known players grief land. Players who knew the rules and had been around for a while. If someone is going to grief to cause havoc, they are not going to be dissuaded. The only people who can be truly dissuaded are the ones who are doing it to make a quick buck. After thinking this over I would say three things could be done to stop this. 1) Add a bit to the beginning of the tutorial that grief in main world towns and the aether is illegal. and 2) Make it so ONE time, upon joining ECC as a new player, you are given the message "Just a reminder: Grief in protected regions is illegal and could be punished via a ban." 3) Make it so this message is repeated to builders once an hour. This would be a perk of getting resident. Make that pesky message go away. Revanrose6
Maybe not, but if your airport has special tools which detect bombs 100% of the time, and other airports don't, it might be worth putting that fact up on display.
Ah, there you go. The other problem: No one reads reminders. I don't. I often have to tell builders and some residents who randomly PM me to read the "purple and green reminders in chat" to get money.
More then fair, if someone removed all the signs at spawn it would take me weeks to notice they were gone, if that.
This is why i still wuv her. I may disagree and consider that attitude defeatist, but she has a lot more experience in dealing with this issue than me and so I have a tendency to respect her position. I like all 3 of her ideas and they should totally be implemented.
