Suggestion: I would like to be able to pay offline players.
Reason: There is many times when players want to pay players that either just went offline or have been offline for a while/aren't online at the same times you are and you need to pay them.
Any Other Information: If there was some type of mail set up so that when a player payed an offline player, that receiving player would get mail saying that they've received money from so and so. The player that sent the money could get mail saying that the player was sent the money so that there would be proof the money was sent in the even of an issue. And there was something else I was going to say but I forgot...

i think this is a good idea becasue people are always waiting to get payed and then when they go offline they cant get payed +1 by me for this

Great idea, but suggest it to essentials, andrew and khobbits would need to do some things to the plugin that stray from the stable build, and would need to update each time minecraft did and rewrite it all. Too much of a hassle, i would imagine but maybe not. Suggest to essentials :D

Likes:
1. I like the idea of the mail, like /mail money accept or something crazy like that..
2. Money would be safely transferred offline for loans and such.
Dislikes:
1. If you log offline and forgot your balance, when you return you will never know if the user paid you or not.
2. More essential work when updates occur, and also more commands would need to be added = trouble.
3. Just to much of a hassle to go through.
Overall:
Sorry, something that will probably just not be added due to the mess that that will happen with people accusing others of "not getting their full pay back" or just all of the random things that may/will occur. It will be nice for loans and stuff, just more commands and that's no good D: -
It might work if it was like a package that got mailed aNd the person had to do like /mail accept then the money is added to the account. The player that sent it could get like a confirmation mail so they would have proof and mods could look through logs also if the confirmation mail didn't work.

if it was sent via forum, then there would be proof of being sent. also it could state the balance of the reciever before the transaction and after the transaction along with the money transferred but only to the reciever. and maybe to the sender too.

I like the idea of being able to send money through the /mail system.

Wouldnt it be easier to just set up trade signs and have the user deposit the funds in exchange for a cheap block for dirt. We do this in oasis for selling plots and farm rentals. For example say you need to pay someome 1000 for selling a plot and the other user is offline. Before the user goes offline he could set up a trade sign somewhere selling blocks of dirt for 500 each and lets the paying user know where the sign is. They then buy the dirt blocks untill the appropriate amount is in the sign. They can also then mail the user saying this amount was paid at this paticular time. The receiving user then collects the money from the sign. May not be ideal at times, but would be much easier then having to mess with plugins and other stuff. In fact this seems to be the most common way people accept donations, which essentially the same concept.
Just some thoughts. -
in a coding perspective this is easy but would require a database of all players online, who have ever played, who is offline
what all of their balances are and
it would be moreso of a /payoffline -

Is there a way to set it up so that the player also receives mail notifying them who paid them and how much?
