I was thinking, if possible, if we could add the ability of fly to everyone in the events area? Like the holiday build area. Pros: People can build easier with fly. People can also explore other event plots easier with fly. Cons: I don't know if this would be easy to add or not and I know a lot is going on right now with the server. But a suggestion can't hurt.
+1 If it's possible to give all players access to the /fly command in that region only. -1 if it's not possible, takes a ton of work, or if players find a way to exploit this by leaving the area and still being able to fly.
I can't find any way¹ to realize this with built-in options. The "easiest" way would be to create a dedicated world for the events area and grant everyone the essentials.fly permission there. ¹ Well, other than game-mode.
That simply says you can use this command here, not giving permission to it. 314 is correct, the only feasible way is via a separate world.

tbh tho you don't necessarily need fly to build some dope stuff. I've seen some pretty amazing creations on this server built without using fly so it all comes back down to ability in the end.
