This has been suggested in this and so many other forms so often it amazes me. I really believe that our staff does their very best they can. The problem is that there are staff that are very tolerant and the guidelines must be very vague in my opinion. The real problem is that there will always be immature players that curse while typing (which makes no sense to me whatsoever btw) whether to be "cool" or to get a rise out of people. I have found the /ignore command to be my friend in this situation - it also works very well for trolls (those who have not been banned yet anyway) and for usernames I find inappropriate that staff chooses to accept which is their right. Tolerance and patience are the key to success in dealing with these issues as no rules will ever be perfected for those that strive to "bend" rules. We should thank the staff for doing everything possible to make our time on ECC enjoyable.
I like the way it is handled now. Occasional swearing deserves a warning and excessive swearing is a ban that's it. It works -1
No, actually i myself am young and find swearing totally normal. Simply deal with it watching that clip with vsauce. i think swearing should simply be free for all to express what they feel age shouldnt matter! what does it even change? k whatever, -1
